I last reviewed this pub in 2011 and have been a local here for a lot longer than that. Since 2011 there have been a lot of changes (including some it's best not talk about). I have to admit, I thought the pub was going to shut after a disastrous 18 months where it seemed no one was welcome and... More

Although we live in Newquay we dont have a regular pub or restaurant so we tend to pop into places now and again. The Tavern, we have frequented many times over the years and have seen a few landlords come and go. On our way home from a late shopping trip we thought we would pop in for a bite... More

very friendly pub, we had been walking with our dog and dropped in for a drink on our way home. Very dog friendly, met with open arms! Dog treats at the bar, water in a bowl and our drinks were good as well. Buddy made a friend as well.

Since the new Landlady and her husband have taken over, a little over one year ago, The Tavern has gone from strength to strength. There's always a smiling face behind the bar and the food is excellent. The Sunday carvery is always outstanding and well attended. Prices are good for the area and the locals are always willing to chat... More

this is a local pub run by a fun loving family that will welcome you with warmth and friendliness. The food is good and we were allowed to take the dog which is a must for us.

The Tavern Inn is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Newquay itself and is an old school pub. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the food is hearty and filling. Great menu selection. They hold live music nights and do some fab deals on food and drinks. Carvery on a Sunday is a must. Well done everyone... More

With family situated in all areas of Cornwall we wanted a central place to have our early Christmas meal. I had been taken to this pub previously to watch a band & it had a great atmosphere, good drinks selection & I remembered carvery, so we decided to give it a whirl, we weren't disappointed! The carvery had a great... More

My other half and I went to get some lunch. The lady behind the bar was sat on her phone for 20 minutes, then once peeling herself away from Facebook, told me that the "kitchen closes in 10 minutes so we won't take any orders". Maybe customer service is something that happens to other people? I feel if I had... More

I'm sorry to be reading this review as we take our customer service very seriously as you can see from our other reviews. The review is dated for Sunday. If this is the case we serve food all day on a Sat and a Sunday so perhaps you are reviewing the wrong pub?? If indeed the review is from any... More

Description
We are a family run business providing reasonably priced family pub grub to our regulars and any holiday makers. We are situated in beautiful Newquay but tucked away from the hustle and bustle. We have a traditional indoor area where you can choose to sit in the main bar, Cornish corner or our restaurant but we also have 2 fantastic outdoor seating areas. We welcome families and dogs and we provide a wide range of food and drinks to enjoy.
