We had a beautiful 3 course meal @ 2 Fore Street while we were in Mousehole on our Honeymoon recently. The food was very tasty and well presented. The staff were very knowledgeable about the food and wine. From booking the table to the actual...meal was very easy. We booked over the phone, we were welcomed on arrival and shown to our table by the lovely waitress. The waitress was helpful and knew a lot about the dishes being served! Next time we are in Mousehole we will be coming back!More

I really cannot fault 2, Fore Street in any way. The restaurant is situated on the corner of one of the many picturesque little streets which criss cross Mousehole. The atmosphere is relaxing, warm and ambient and staff cheerful and welcoming. My husband and I...had the most delicious super of steak, homemade burger a couple of sides and a delicious bottle of house red. All delicious and all reasonably priced. 2, Fore Street really is a very special place so please be sure to BOOK 😊More

This is the first time I have visited this restaurant and I would like to think it won’t be my last. From the welcome when we arrived until the time we left our experience was first class. The service was excellent, friendly but not intrusive,...some of the best I’ve ever experienced and the food was amazing - how do they get such flavours into the best pea purée ever ! I had the sea bass, my son the inevitable burger and his wife lemon sole. All excellent and beyond our wildest expectations. This restaurant is an absolute gem just off the harbour in Mousehole.More

Six of us visited for lunch - it was the fifth time for two of us and as every previous time the food and wine were excellent and the staff/service were as good as you will find in any restaurant

We were a party of 7 and had prebooked a 7 pm table. On arrival, we were curtly the table was not ready and the party were paying their bill. When we asked if that was our table on the corner, we were told brusquely...“yes” - and we could see they clearly were still eating their desserts. We had to leave and go for a drink at the pub next door and came back half hour later. Throughout the evening we were made to feel less welcome. Add in the patchy and very slow service it all added up to a disappointing evening. Great food, bad attitude.More

We managed to get a table at 8.30, pre-booking essential. Especially in Mousehole as there is really no where else open in the evening where you can get a meal. The place was buzzing but the service was quick and the staff attentive. I ordered...the Whitebait to start and a Burger with Gougons and had trouble eating so much food! The place has a lovely modern atmosphere and compared to everywhere else is doing an amazing job.More

It might have been that it was a lovely warm sunny autumn day but we had a gorgeous meal in the garden/courtyard that was quite probably the highlight of our holiday. Friendly, attentive staff, beautiful surroundings, amazing food. We had 3 beautiful meals - the...moules mariniere is only let down by no finger bowl or extra plate. But that's being really picky! Would certainly make the trip back to eat here again.More
