This pub has low old beams, it brims with atmosphere and a roaring log fire in the winter. Food is traditional as are the drinks and beverages tat are available.

Popped in for a quick drink last Wednesday evening whilst staying in the area. Good friendly and warm atmosphere. Decent pint and wine for the ladies. A little strange that they didn't serve wine in 175ml measures, only 125ml or 250ml. Not come across that anywhere else before. Still, a pleasant half hour. Recommended.

What a lovely pub. Friendly staff, excellent ale, tasty food and a refuge from children! It makes a change to be able to enjoy a drink and meal in an adult environment and not a child in sight. Please don`t change. (We are parents and did take our children out when they were younger when it was acceptable to have... More

There was a table available in a secluded corner of this friendly pub which is helpful for those of us with a hearing loss. Good choice of food and reasonable value for money. Lovely roaring fire - very welcome in a stormy February.

Pub in centre of Looe a very good pint of Doom Bar. We ate and the food was very good with great portions. We had a scampi and a pasty meal good value at £9.95 each. Good atmosphere with open fire and pleasant staff - note though that they do not take cards

If you have kids under 13 you have to sit in this cold miserable family room out the back like a prison cell!!! But.....if you have a dog it's allowed to lay in the way of the bar and walkways and stink the place out too. If the owners think that families are going to pay their prices for a... More

This was our favourite pub whilst in Looe, it was so cosy with candles and a roaring fire. The food is excellent too and staff really friendly.

Called in here after the first stage of my walk of the SWCP. Delightful welcome and excellent food and service. Food arrived quickly and was plentiful. Managed to get a place in front of the fire on a cold evening-a pint of Doombar rounded off a quiet but splendid evening.

We went to the Salutation somewhere between 5 & 6 pm midweek. Sat there having a drink whilst it was quiet and pondering if we should eat there also. Then the barman came over to the table (youngish with a full beard) stuck a reserved sign on our table. I said "excuse me, we're sitting here" he replied well it... More
