Our party arrived at 7.10pm for a 7.15pm table reservation. We had to seek a member of staff to check us in only to find our table was in use. When it was available 20mins later it was too cramped and there was no baby high chair we'd asked for. We found a big enough table in the main bar... More

Dined as a party of 5 (4 adults & the 3 year old birthday boy. The room we were in wasn't full due to the sunny day a lot of people had opted to sit outside. We all enjoyed our food. The service could have been more attentive however as when we asked for more drinks we had to ask... More

Went for lunch and had the steak burger, very nice, possibly the best so far in Chester. Nice pub with rooms that looked like they would be good for birthdays, etc. We enjoyed our lunch in the well kept garden area overlooking the race track.

We were invited to an old friend's "special" birthday. Lots of us, so menu choices in advance. We were well greeted, ushered into our private dining room for pre-dinner drinks. The whole evening was delightful - you know you have had a good time when the first time you look at you watch it is 11.45 after a 7.30 start.... More

It's ok for drinks in the sun but for anything else The Architect continually disappoints. For me personally it's time to strike it off the list now.

Popped in for few drinks before going for food. Waited ages at the bar, staff were slow and not very friendly. They did not know who was next to be served and often served others before the person who was next. Once at a table we were served by a waitress who was friendly and helpful.

Visited for the first time with family for lunch. Lovely table with view across garden to Chester racecourse. Menu is interesting and it took us a while to decide our choices as we were tempted by too many! Food was great, tasty and well presented. Service was unobtrusive but good. We will certainly go back again.

Architect is my favourite pub in Chester. Especially for nice weather to sit outside. My 8 year old boy enjoys the garden always

Very nice pub restaurant originally owned and built by as the name suggests an architect a very old grand house converted into a smart venue. Lovely gardens and grounds with view across Chester Racecourse across the road

Thank B H
