Great service from this place, we were on a couple of days visit staying at a hotel slightly out of town, we came in a couple of times and I selected this place for my birthday meal (20th April!) Location - lovely, easy to find, cute size creating a nice atmosphere, not too noisy with varied music in the background... More

relaxed atmosphere , although they do offer the usual tapas, they also offer some more individual tapas of there own which are delicious, ( beef cheeks and seared pork were both extremely delicious)

When you walk upto the door of the restaurant you can see how niche it is on the approach, it has a lovely cosy warm feel to it. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the service is fantastic. The menu isn't vast but means that your food arrives quickly and hot, the specials were beautiful and tasty. I... More

Very poor customer service...food arrived one at time and cold. Manageress didn't offer any form of apology and didn't seem to care despite it being a £90 bill....would not return.

Service was really great here - friendly and down to earth staff. Loved seeing into the kitchen from our table and the food was lovely. Ordered several dishes plus dessert - very good value for money. Oddly, the broccoli was our favourite dish!! Very surprising. Nothing we didn't like and would definitely visit again.

Best Tapas we have had outside Spain. Nice portions and a good choice of wines and sherry. This is a small intimate place that is very popular, we visited on a Wednesday evening and it got pretty full. You can't book so it is a bit pot luck to get seated. Tucked behind the Northgate of the City Walls it... More

Unusual tapas menu dishes on the menu, and none of our favourites. We ordered 5 'tapas' dishes between us and all we felt were small portions for the prices, served on tiny side plates. My husband and I left this restaurant still very hungry.

Tucked away by the city walls at the top of Northgate Porta is definitely worth seeking out. A range of cold and hot tapas freshly prepared were all of a really good standard. The chorizo and lentil stew and slow roast oxcheek were particularly good. Service was friendly and efficient. If you can, try to get a table on the... More

Just back from a first meal here and enjoyed it so much. The food was fantastic, the service efficient and friendly. We could hardly have been made any more welcome. It is only a small place and you can't book so it is a bit pot luck but worth the effort. This is the kind of find that makes me... More
