Recently visited with friends for an evening meal, staff friendly and efficient, bar and restaurant clean and welcoming. It was a case of an evening of good company and old fashioned pub grub and whilst three of the four meals were excellent the fish and chips unfortunately left a lot to be desired, Both the fish and the chips were... My husband and I visited here on the off chance on the way home to Long Sutton, Lincolnshire from Stone Cross in East Sussex. It is in a very attractive location on the banks of the Old West River near Ely. The banks were covered in daffodils and there were numerous colourful boats around. I had wild boar and apple... 6 of us ate here for a 60th birthday treat on a Sunday Lunchtime. On arrival we had a drink and looked at the menu and placed our orders. From then on downhill all the way. The table cloth was not clean. Our starters came but one of the group did not have hers until 5 mins after the rest.... More

Frequent visitors due to the proximity to my parents home however the staff rarely acknowledge that they have ever seen us before. Fair pub grub although slightly overpriced. Nice setting by the river and very nice selection of cakes.

Started working nearby. Stayed at the local prison (travelodge) last week and wanted to find something more homely since I'll be coming here a lot. Pleasantly surprised to find the Lazy Otter. Very comfy rooms, welcoming people and fab breakfast cooked to order . Have a good choice of well kept real ales and a tasty supper. Will definitely recommend.

All you really need to know is that it's £5.40 for a pint of lager. For the life of me can only think this is justified slightly by the rip off summer trade. Cheaper in a posh London hotel.

Peroni is a premium product and is priced accordingly, our price for that is cheap compared to other stockist, we offer Carling at £3.90 , Coors Llite at £3.90,so im afraid that if you want a premium product you need to pay a premium price More

We recently went back to the Otter and had lunch in their very pleasant dining area overlooking the adjacent river/marina. Once again I had the excellent steak and kidney pudding (after a very fair chicken liver pate starter) Oh boy! A small well made suet pudding with a genuine mix of s and k. Some mash and some very nice... More
