I came down to this delightful pub for an evening meal, to visit some family who live in the Cambridge area and wow was I impressed! We came around 7pm and the pub was lively, without being overwhelmingly busy and we were promptly served but...More

In a matter of months a vibrant pub selling great food has been turned into a 'spot the customer' pub. The reasons are blatantly obvious...in the winter it is traditional to heat a pub, long gone are the roaring open fires. No background music. No...More

Planned to go today for lunch. Walked in to discover the pub was completely void of any kind of atmosphere. No music on, waited a while but didn’t get close to being served - had the vibe of a really strange library. It reminded me...More

Strange mixture. The place was completely deserted at 12.30 on a Sunday, always unnerving, although a few people drifted in later. I remember when this place used to be packed. A good portion of tasty soup and bread was spoiled by only being lukewarm, as...More

Description
Enjoy informal dining in the exquisite surroundings of our dining room thoughtfully renovated with Danish carvings from the 16th century which harks back to the stories that boats once came up the brook in front of the pub heading to Swavesey which was an inland port. The boats & tradesmen were Danish and many settled in the area. Nestled in the picturesque Cambridgeshire countryside, yet close to Cambridge, The Three Tuns provides a delightful setting for family celebrations, business lunches and much more. Traditional stone flooring in the bar area with its open fire welcomes you and leads through to a less formal area with comfortable pews and additional dining tables.
