Lived in Cambridge for 14 years and walked past the Polonia Club a number of times and said "we should try there". We went last night and it was terrific, so many delicious items to choose from. As we hadn't been before we were offered...More

We booked a table for five at The Polonia Club, and I would say that the experience was excellent in every respect. The service was friendly and efficient, with everything arriving in good time. the restaurant itself is basically a converted, large Victorian house, which...More

It's been almost two years since I visited Polonia Club, today I had the chance to visit it again with my wife. We both had the chef's choice, chicken breast with a delicious sauce, rice and boiled veggies. It was delicious! We also enjoyed two...More

Lunched within a group of about 25 colleagues. I've had the delicious mushroom soup, the famous pierogi ( with spinach - there are other options for the filling ) which is vary similar to the Turkish meal "manti" and the cheesecake; all satisfactory. The hard...More

We went for the food and the most extensive vodka menu I've ever seen. The place had a decent atmosphere the Polonia is more of a cultural centre a place for ex pat Poles to meet than a strict restaurant. We were in the bar....More

Great tasting Polish food at very reasonable prices. Small, cosy atmosphere and very friendly staff. It's a place with personality, but it won't be everyone's cup of tea... Though it's supposed to be for club members only, I've never been asked any questions and always...More

Came with 8 others after a good friend organised their birthday here. The food was great and the staff very welcoming. They had no issues with us bringing our own birthday cake. The beer selection was surprisingly good and there is a big vodka list...More

I wasn't sure what to expect but I was very pleasantly surprised at this friendly restaurant. The food is unassuming but good and the potato to cakes are highly recommended! The wooden floors and busy atmosphere make the acoustics difficult if you are hard of...More

I ate here on a Wednesday evening in a group of 10. There were not many other diners at all. Although the atmosphere was not bad, yes, as other reviews described, like a big living room in a house, the food for me was a...More

You wouldn't stumble across this place by accident as it's a bit out of town and looks from the street like a house! Luckily we had friends who had been there before. It's small and cosy - an old house in fact. Polish, Hungarian and...More

Description
You may have tried Italian, French and Chinese foods but until you have enjoyed the best of Polish Cuisine you haven't lived! Come to the Polonia Club on Chesterton Road in Cambridge to find out how it really is.Polish Food is a relatively new phenomenon in the UK but one which is soon to as popular as popping out for an Indian on a Friday night. Pierogi, placki ziemniaczane, and many more dishes are sure to become as famous as curry, naan bread and poppadoms. Serving nothing but authentic Polish Food, the Polonia Club sources all of its food locally. Polish delicacies such as bigos, golabki and more are all on the menu for customers to try and then enjoy time after time. The extremely reasonable menu starts at just £4,50 giving everyone the opportunity to try something new for little cost. we are especially proud of our home baked bread which contains no artificial food colourings and flavourings . Poland is renowned for its alcohol and the Polonia Club brings this particular aspect of its spiritual home to Cambridge with especial vigour. An incredible range of Polish spirits and traditional vodkas are served that will put most bars and pubs to shame. 46 different types of Polish vodka are available, both pure and flavoured. Those seeking something a little lighter need not worry - 12 different Polish beers can be selected too. Especially good for parties the Club can be hired for private bookings and social events. If it's your birthday they will bake a special cake for you if advance notice is given.
