Corinna and Erika were our hosts/serving staff and were attentive and gracious while still allowing us plenty of privacy and uninterrupted conversation. The food was beautiful, from the pea and mint soup to the simplicity of perfectly steamed baby carrots and the skillfully roasted new...More

I treated my boyfriend to a meal here as he's a big carnivore and several people had recommended it to us. Overall it was a nice restaurant if a little on the expensive side. His steak certainly got the thumbs up but I was a...More

First visit based upon location, ideal for the Theatre, and TA reviews. The set menu looked a good fit for my elderly Mother and I. Wheelchair access with the help of ramps. Difficult to find a good place to eat this central at this price....More

Business guests tried this establishment, said it was exquisite. Good old fashioned food. Reasonable prices. Plenty of choice. Good service, nothing too much trouble, very enjoyable visit, would go again.

One of the best, though not the cheapest, Sunday lunches I've had - amazing roast beef, thick cut, pink and succulent, served with well-cooked Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes and a range of fresh vegetables. And the most delicious, rich gravy! Book a window table for...More

A great spot for breakfast on a Sunday morning. My bacon butty, complete with fried egg on top, was just delicious & my partner's Full English was particularly good too. Our girls went for the creamy porridge with fresh fruit compote. A healthy option if...More

Located in the heart of Cambridge, opposite Kings College Chapel, The Cambridge Chop House is a traditional British bar and restaurant that has been popular with locals and visitors from further afield since it opened in 2007. Split over two levels, the ground floor boasts views of Kings College Chapel while the basement is an intimate, atmospheric cellar split into four rooms. The menu offers British classics made from locally sourced ingredients and the two course set lunch and pre-theatre menu is excellent value for money. Popular dishes include Mutton Barnsley chops; whole sea bass with wholegrain mustard sauce; and daily changing sausages made on site. The hearty portions are best served with local ales straight from the cask or wine from an extensive list.
