This deli and cafe feels very italian indeed and seemed a good place for a light lunch. We had the ham and tomato bruschetta special which, to be honest, was ciabatta pizza - tasty but not bruschetta! Service was pleasant, but the whole place was...More

Nice place to eat pumpkin gnocci but quite expensive, as starter seafood salad is nice too. During summer the vanilla ice cream is perfect.

We loved this place. We came across it just ambling down Mill Road. What a gem! The food was fresh and gorgeous. Drinks were just perfect. The guy serving us was really delightful and we ended up buying loads from the general store. Will definitely...More

I went to this place with some friends for lunch, one of them is Italian. It turned out to be a great lunch because of the delicious food, the good and quiet atmosphere in the restaurant and the very friendly service. We first had a...More

Great independent deli cafe. Excellent selection of Italian cheeses and other delights. We sat and had a veggie sharing board which was full of really tastie nibbles. Casual laid back vibe. Staff charming knowledgeable and helpful.

I went here recently and ordered a pasta dish and a drink. I paid £10 for about 7 small pieces of stuff pasta on a bed of iceburg lettuce with a balsamic glaze. It tasted distinctly average and i was so disappointed at how much...More

Came here on a rainy Saturday lunchtime. The service was great and there is a good choice of sandwiches. Prices are pretty steep and there is around a £2 extra charge just for eating in. The quality of the food was good, but it should...More

We visited Limoncello completely by accident and wow I'm glad we did. Spot on informal service and tasty food to die for. It's just a shame we live so far away! The deli looked and smelled amazing and the coffee was excellent. Well done and...More

We went in here one bank holiday monday earlier this year and had a rather odd experience. We looked at the food menu on the big board behind the bar for a good few minutes, speaking aloud between us what we might have, directly in...More

Popped in for a quick lunch. Chose the soup which was pastina & bean, served with a generous sprinkle of Parmesan & a good glug of olive oil. Served with a few slices of warm ciabatta bread drizzled in oil. £5. Bargain!

Limoncello is Cambridge's premiere Italian Delicatessan. The brainchild of proprietor Steve Turvill, it opened in Mill Road on August 28th, 1997 in premises only half its present size. The shop moved to its current location at 212 Mill Road in October 2001.Steve has had a life-long passion for Italian food that was triggered by his first experience of Panettone as a young boy. He carefully selects every product that the shop stocks himself, and makes frequent visits to Italy to find new delights to add to the range on offer to Limoncello's customers. Some 90% of the shop's stock is imported from Italy, including the four varieties of fresh pesto, olives, cheeses, meats and antipasti. Steve works with a myriad of suppliers in Italy and the U.K. to ensure the best quality products are available. The major line of non-Italian produce is the fresh-baked products. Steve takes daily delivery of fresh-baked bread from two local Italian bakeries (so one can choose between 'Cambridge bread' and 'Peterborough bread') and bakes on-site a range of baguettes and ciabatta. The fresh-baked baguettes and ciabatta are used for Limoncello's well-known and much-loved sandwiches. Each sandwich is hand-made to order and can include just about any combination of the fresh deli items in the store!
