Visited The Rummer to experience the Sunday roast, which was ok, I had lamb which was tasty, the Yorkshire puddings were slightly burnt as were the roasties, the veg was good, however the waiter walked around with a face like thunder and when asked if he'd fetch some salt he barked at my friend to the surprise of all, least to say... We came for valentine's day and tried out the gin taster menu... I was really disappointed with the food to be honest. I have tried taster menus before, so I'm aware the portions aren't massive...but I thought this was a bit of a joke? We had to stop on the way home and buy some crisps for god sake. You... More

A colleague and I came here after work for a quick drink and conversation and ended up staying all evening. They offer great food in a relaxed atmosphere with a wide selection of beers and and ales which made me very happy indeed. The obviously have quite a selection of rum and this was great for my colleague.

We came here on Sunday for a roast and the food was lovely, including dessert. I wouldn't recommend the smoked duck starter as it was a little dry, but the cauliflower cheese was amazing and the gin and fruit trifle was lovely. The service was quite surly and one waiter muttered under his breath when there was a miscommunication about... More

Came here with my partner my birthday without big expectations because we just wanted to find a place with a table free on Sunday. We loved the service and the food was amazing! We had beef and it was beautifully cooked and cheesy cauliflower was to die for! Will definitely come back!!

We booked for our valentines weekend as this is a firm favourite of ours. The cocktail list is extensive, as is the bar staffs expertise. The 5 course tasting meal was wonderful, as we expected. Each course has a wow factor. Highly recommended for fabulous food, drinks & atmosphere

Ended the night at the Rummer, not visited for a while, but was not disappointed; good relaxed atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff - keep it up!

We found this place purely by chance, and were delighted that we did. The bar has an amazing selection of spirits, with pages and pages of Malts, Gins and Rums. As we had come in for just a lunchtime snack we just had some excellent red wine. The bar staff were really friendly and knowledgeable about the spirits. We were then... More

I was very disappointed with my recent visit. My previous visit with friends was nothing short of epic, so with that I had decided to make a trip to Bristol purely to eat here and treat my partner. First of all we were a little concerned of the bad reviews cropping up, and even worst some churlish responses. So decided... More
