Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We went there for a birthday and it was fantastic, we had the pumpkin soup, veal schnitzel and Rueben and everything was perfect, we followed up with apple strudel and sticky date pudding (the classics) and they were as good as we've ever had

We were greeted upon arrival and directed to the bar for a gin tasting (free). The guy performing the tasting was experienced and had a great sense of humour. We were seated at our table (6 people) and the service we received was outstanding! It...was an extremely busy day, but you wouldn't have known it. The menu was explained with patience and even gin preferences were recommended. The quality, quantity, value and presentation of the food was first class. Thoroughly recommend the Wildbrumby and special thanks to Stephanie-her service was amazing/next level! We'll be back! Make sure you book your table.More

I have been the the brumby before and got great service and good value food. This time I was a bit underwhelmed with the food , average pub grub that was dry and generic. The beers were nice though and the outdoor area is nicely...decorated and maintained. I hope they get the menu back on track again.More

I’ve been here twice before and food was excellent. Not so this time. Food was of quality that it seemed to be precooked or frozen and just heated up. Veal schnitzel burger was dry, dumplings heavy and stodgy and sticky date pudding gluggy. Bistro quality...at its best but restaurant prices. We were very disappointed.More

Very popular restaurant with novel bits and bob's. A large still occupies the floor space and walls, shelves and rafters are festooned with nick nacks! Food is bistro quality, perhaps a little overpriced! The sausage plate at $25 which is two BBQ bratwurst, could have...another type included for variety sake. Perhaps a flesh wurst or other. I was disappointed with the sticky date dessert pudding. Ir was a cupcake presentation with a tiny dollop of ice cream and cream and sauce. The cake was a gluggy imitation of sticky date and needs to be improved. The Austrian wheat beer was delicious and served in tall glasses.A very nice Beer! Outside on the grass lawns was a collection of plastic animals, carved rocks and zany pieces that pass for modern art these days. As a distillery the emphasis is on selling the local spirits. Gin and Schnapps are popular.More

We emailed a few days ahead to order the GINdabyne Perfect Picnic Hamper which we arranged to pick up. The place was packed and seemed to be reservations only so you dont want to bank on a walk in table being available. We paid for...our hamper and drove to the national park for our picnic. The hamper was fabulous and definitely good value for money with pickles, dip, cheeses, crackers, smoked trout, fresh bread, a bottle of gin and some tonic water with an orange for a garnish. Also included was a cooler bag, plates and cutlery as well as a picnic blanket although it was so windy we ended up eating in the car! The trout and horseradish dip were standouts but, honestly, it was all great and the perfect amount for two people. The photos and description on the website were accurate as well.More

It was cold and windy outside. We were welcomed inside to a warm comfortable space and allocated our booked table. The food and drinks were ordered and the complimentary in-house made butterscotch schnapps arrived. What a way to start a 50th birthday lunch. My mains...dish of smoked trout salad had persimmon seeds in it, delicious. The table staff were excellent. We will be back !!!More

We celebrated my husbands 60th here, a party of 16 for lunch. Everyone enjoyed the meals they ordered and service was quick. We were quite taken aback when we asked for water for the table, the waitress advised that they had a severe water shortage...and that they would not supply bottles of water to the table, only glasses. Our waitress must have realised that we were all a bit shocked and went to great lengths to apologise if she had come across as rude (which she did) however they happily provided glasses of water for those who wanted them. We were also quite happy to pay for bottled water however there was none available. We also thought that a tasting was included and whilst we were given a delicious sample of their butterscotch schnapps upon arrival there were no other sampling. I must mention that my husband was given a complimentary dessert of sticky date during with a candle and a rousing Happy Birthday song which was lovely. We all purchased lots of bottles of schnapps and enjoyed our visit. The cafe/restaurant is quite small which made social distancing a bit tricky but people were very considerate and we all tried our best. Sadly they ran out of straddle so we will have to go back as we have had it in the past and it was scrumptious. We also had 3 children in our party, 11, 10 and 8 and they thoroughly enjoyed their meals.More
