It's neat to think that you're eating seaweed, but the flavor is bland. It tastes more like cake than pie. However the fruit topping on it was very good.

Very busy here. Just stopped in to look at the gift store and to buy a "seaweed pie". Kind of cool for the kids, if you've been up to North Cape to see the horsed dredging for seaweed.

We looked around for this place and could not find it, which seemed strange since Miminegash is tiny. Apparently it is closed this year (2013). The adjoining Irish moss interpretive centre is also closed.

On our trip to PEI in July, we made it a point to stop at the Seaweed Pie Cafe. We were told we could take any seat we wanted. The tables are situated very close together, hardly room for folks to sit back-to-back; so we...More
