Had a burger and a milkshake. Burger was a slop fest. Patty was grey & bland. Milkshake was a train wreck. I ordered a strawberry shake, and the 'fruit' inside it resembled, tasted like and felt like wax. For a $6 shake. Never ordering one...More

We, at the Firechefs appreciate everyone's feedback. A review whereby a restaurant is rated 'terrible" on TripAdvisor is a serious matter; merrited, in my opinion, when there are several things that have gone awry. You judged us on overly salted French Fries ( which you...More

The halibut fish and chips was awesome. The fish was fresh and flavorful as was the fries. My husband had the sushi and said that was very good as well. They are not skimpy on the amount of fish for what we chose. Highly recommend!

The food quality is good. Quantity is generous. Service is nice and not slow. Close to sea front and crafting store and the museum. Washroom is pretty and clean. A descent restaurant in Port Hardy. Recommended for lunch and quick bite.

I just stopped in for a milkshake and was surprised how much it has changed. A broader menu and more staff than in the past. Service was good and the prices were reasonable.

Description
The Fire Chefs have recently bought the Old Captain Hardy's Restaurant and have completely renovated the interior. We wanted the interior of the restaurant to reflect our commitment of bring about great colorful fusion cuisine heavily borrowing on France and Japan's attention to the culinary arts. Our two chefs bake fresh pastries daily. They buy their prized fish off the Haste (a local fisherman) and prepare a light yet crunchy fish batter. We produce fresh homemade soups and chowders, sushi, breads, muffins, cookies, pasta, Prime Rib Hamburgers, Caprese Salatas, Calamari with homemade tsaziki. We are new and we offer refined gourmet food and affordable family pricing. Try us.. We believe you will enjoy your experience!
