Took my wife but as it was Valentine's day expected good food but it to busy and slow. Food was as always excellent but I could not have been more wrong about the service. It was superb despite being busy. Pleasant waitresses and efficient, the food came along quickly and it was as expected excellent. Scallops to start, lovely. Steak... More

Standard of service has dropped dramatically over the last few months, great pity it used to be such a good place for food. When we went it was with a family party during the week and we had to wait nearly an hour between courses as only one person was waiting tables, the other five staff were behind the bar... More

A lovely birthday meal, the food and service was good. A great country pub. The rack of ribs was excellent but had to share them as they were huge.

We haven't been to this pub for many years but friends have recommended it. It is a lovely "Olde World" building with lots of character. The day we visited they had a blazing fire in the hearth and it was all very welcoming. The menu is extensive, the food well presented, the service pleasant and efficient. We will certainly return.

We visited The king William to celebrate a 60th Birthday. I hadn't been there previously, so I was really surprised by the interior decor of chains and suspended tables. The serving staff were very pleasant and helpful. There were six of us and we all had different meals which were excellent. If I'm visiting the area again, I will definitely... More

A post Christmas drive into the countryside to this quintessential oak beamed village pub for my Mother's birthday was well worth it. On arrival we were greeted by very pleasant staff and shown to our table. The menu was varied with something for everyone including vegetarian options. The classic prawn crayfish and smoked salmon cocktail with artisan bread starter was... More
