We had not been for many years and then made a return visit for dinner on a Saturday night. The dining room has a beautiful historical ceiling and stained glass windows, scrubbed tables and linen napkins - shame that someone had put their arm through...More

Good Afternoon and thank you so much for your wonderful review. I have to admit to being rather partial to the Chicken Kiev myself!! We hope that we will see you again in the not too distant future.

Food is overpriced but generally very good, only one problem, many items appear to have been surprisingly microwaved. You don't expect that. The chips are great however, my kids loved them best! Don't let the ciggy smoke wafting in from outside out you off.More

The setting on the green is idyllic, and you can park either in front of the pub or up the side of the green and walk down. The lunch menu is full of classics and with a few burgers, and all priced around the £12.50-£14.50...More

Eaten here a few times now and I would say the food and service is average. I've never really seen a friendly service, more a 'it's my job' service. The food is quantity not top quality and the menu not too exciting - and they...More

Description
The Crown Inn Chiddingfold, Condé Nast Johansens Most Excellent Inn in Great Britain 2010 and awarded Recommended Status for 2011. An idyllic English pub, The Crown Inn nestles in a quiet corner of the picture-perfect village green of Chiddingfold in Surrey. Totally refurbished, the olde world charm of the property has been lovingly maintained and sympathetically blended with a more sophisticated and contemporary decor. Beautiful stained-glass windows provide a stunning backdrop to our dining rooms, whilst our downstairs bar has an informal ambience. Our AA coveted 5 Stars has been awarded again in 2013 with the added bonus of a yellow star award, to sit alongside our 'Highly Commended status' for 2013. We are proud to be in the top 10% of only 11 Inns in England.
