The waitresses were rude & unprofessional. Swearing and complaining about other customers is not appropriate. We sat at the bar and the service was slow, the inside was empty. My husband loves oysters so we went back last night and the hostess was also rude. The food may be good but the staff left us feeling uncomfortable and dissatisfied.

Hot sunny spring day and smitty's is packed. Nice staff. Great view. I had the oyster po boy. Three little sandwiches with crispy fries. Beer was good and cold. Great place to visit. Good early on the weekend.

Some minor menu changes; but the favorites are still there: fish fritters (cod or halibut) with fries or salad. Wonderfully prepared. Generous salads, great, spicy pulled pork sliders. Sit at the outside table on a warm day, or enjoy the bar & tables inside. Watch the oysters being shucked. Make new friends.

If you like the Vancouver waterfront dining then this is not to be missed. fashioned after a Famous Vancouver Oyster house, it is hip for the coast. Great views, fun decor and harbor views. A fun day in Gibsons includes Smitty's.

We went to Smitty's on the recommendation of friends. It was a great find - upbeat and lively. The place was packed when we arrived (good idea to reserve next time!) but they took care of us for the time we needed to wait. The food and drink was good, and although there was a small hiccup with part of... More

We came here on a Thursday at noon. The place filled up quickly and it was just one server on. We were warmly welcomed and sat at the bar. We ordered the garlic prawns which were cooked to perfection and the server offered us more bread at no extra charge to soak up the rest of the delicious sauce after... More

A business meeting doesn't get much better than sitting outside Smitty's watching the boats and the ocean with a plate of great food in front of you. Smitty's is a real treat for a Sumer meal. Family style tables, casual atmosphere, wonderful food. Plan on a still before or after -- the seawalk and harbour offer a great sense of... More

We spent a day trip on the Sunshine Coast and discovered Smitty's on our way back to Vancouver. This diner can be a bit tricky to find but it's just behind Molly's Reach Restaurant which is visible from Marine Drive. This diner appears to be a favorite amongst the locals. Be certain or order the oysters.
