Dined on the patio with a group of 7 (4 adults, 3 kids), what a beautiful setting to enjoy a pint. Unfortunately after the view everything else was fairly average. Our server was good, but service was a bit on the slower side(server mentioned they...were short staffed). Beer selection was on the smaller side, but pitchers of beer on a sunny day near the ocean always hit the spot. All of our food was very average, in particular the "Legendary" Chicken Wings were lacking flavour, we ordered the Lemon Garlic Dill and they were nearly flavourless. I'd love to give Gramma's Pub another chance but aside from the view nothing is exactly pulling me back.More
Have eaten here a couple times and the food is medium at best. Service can be quite slow even when it is not that busy. For a pub the prices are not on par with what is expected in a local watering hole with the...quality of what is offered. What Gramma's does have going for it is a great location in the middle of a tourist destination. If you are not that mobile the access is a bit of a challenge. There are several better options right in the area.More
Thursday night is prime rib night, we arrived at 6:30 and were seated immediately, a prime view table next to the window. Several Yacht clubs were represented by their members here, Gibson’s Yacht club, Port Moody squadron, West Van YC, and Barnet Sailing co op,...good company.
The Prime plates were tender and tasty, we will be back.More
Attempted to eat this restaurant this evening. My wife, my two daughters and I. It was on the patio at the back. We first encountered a waitress who was clearly unhappy with life. She was not happy that we were snd greeted us with a...frown. She begrudgingly asked us for how many. We told her 4 people. She said " wait here I will be back". She then proceeds to ask if our daughters are of age. We stated yes. She takes us to the table, leaves for 2 minutes, and comes back and asks my daughters for id. One of my daughters didnt have id. She said you have to leave. We said we dont want any alcohol, we just want to eat. She said no you must leave.
I understand that there may be some legal ramifications involved with a liquor license. What I dont understand is why she was so rude. She definitely did not want us there, if we had id or not.
If I were the owner of this establishment, I would not have this woman working for me! She is doing your business a disservice.More
