We visited the Emerald Lake for lunch during a group day tour by coach from Banff. Our lunch was pre-ordered from an understandably limited choice, during the journey. On arrival it was provided in the Mount Burgess Dining Room, which is located in nice surroundings. The food was served quite quickly, and the size of the meals was good but... More

We eloped at this venue and took our dinner here. We had lakeside view and the menu options were lovely. The meat were succulent and tender. The staff were attentive.

This restaurant excels in preparation of wild game cuisine. Top notch. Other dishes were good as well. The service was a bit slow and at times, the restaurant was packed with diners.

Don't get me wrong, this is a fabulous and magical place, but when you order a Wild Mushroom Frittata, you would expect there to be mushrooms in it. The frittata was still very good, with asparagus, but it was nothing like the menu write up. All other meals we had here were spectacular!

First of all, the lodge that this restaurant is situated in is so cozy and lovely. The waiter was fantastic, not afraid to give us suggestions about menu items. All of the dishes we had were so delicious. The caribou was some of the best red meat I have ever had, same goes for the gnocchi with the chicken entrée.... More

The food is lovely but perhaps a little on the high side. The wine, and there is a very extensive wine list, is even more on the high side. The Eggs Benny Hollandaise is among the best I have tried. The Salmon with Lemon risotto is fantastic.

Appetizers are large. Try the La Posta Tinto for a value wine. You must make reservations, but it wasn't too busy when we were there.

We had a good dinner here, and the service was also good. We ate on the indoor "porch" area with a nice view of Emerald Lake. The outside of the lodge is very attractive with beautiful hanging baskets of flowers.

We stopped here for a late lunch. While the server was very friendly and talkative, he actually talked a little bit too much. A small glass of a soft drink was $3.50 or $3.99 which was a bit much. The food was okay. The chicken in my sandwich was very dry, my husband liked the fish and chips, and the... More

We were staying at the Emerald Lake Lodge so found ourselves in their restaurant on the first night. What a mistake The food was second rate which would have been ok if the service was excellent - but it was abysmal. We were seated in the lounge and we may have well been seated on Mars ... It took over... More
