This was our first time at this restaurant. Being from Alberta, we wanted a good seafood experience. The Rum Runner Restaurant did not disappoint. The food was excellent as was the service. The owner of the restaurant (Tim) took the time to chat with us. What can I say except that I would strongly recommend this place for the locals... More

In August 2016, my granddaughter and I ate at the Rm Runner Restaurant for the few days while we were staying at the Inn. We ate there for lunch and dinner on these days. The dishes were exquisite and a very appealing presentation. The curry masalas were very satisfying to my taste buds as well as all the other dishes... More

Was in Lunenburg in October and this place was not very busy, decided to try the fish and chips and they were amazing. Probably the best fish and chips I had during my Nova Scotia trip. Plus the patio views were good. There is a Rum Runner in Crowsnest Pass, Alberta that I go to that also has good fish... More

We arrived hoping to have a place for us as this place is very busy and reservations is required in the summer, especially on a sunny warm day. We got lucky and had a small table for two, we started with an appetizer and some drinks. The service was fast even though they were full. We had some seafood which... More

My husband and I heard about delicious masala at the Rum runner restaurant. It seemed a strange specialty for this sea side tourist restaurant, so I was sceptical. (I have heard they serve amazing sushi too but that will be another review) First impression, the restaurant is cozy and clean with the right volume of background music. Very comfortable. The... The service was great! Still open for us at the end of October too! Food was excellent especially if you're looking for something seafood and a little bit different.

The summer season is over in Lunenburg so there were few people out on this cold and rainy evening- but we got a warm reception at the Rum Runner. We came for mussels and they were so good, we had three portions. The prices were reasonable, the service excellent, the food delicious and the view an added bonus. What more... More

Of all the meals I had in 6 weeks in Canada, this is the one I remember the most. I had 2 starters. The seafood chowder was fantastic. All types of seafood not just fish. The scallops were big and plump and mouthwatering. I wish I could eat at the Rum Runner again.

I haven't had Fish and Chips in years due to my being Gluten Free. Tim was able to make the most delicious gluten free fish and chips, and I was a happy camper. My husband who is not gluten free enjoyed the plate as well. The portions were generous, and the taste was perfect.

We traveled to Lunenburg for a day trip and had lunch at the restaurant inside Rum Runner Inn. The food was spectacular - one of the best meals I had while in Halifax. My daughter had been sick for a week and had been avoiding food, but even she could not resist the fish burger we ordered for her. The... More

Description
Overlooking the Lunenburg waterfront, the Rum Runner Restaurant & Lounge specializes in fresh Lunenburg seafood, purchased locally and prepared to order. Perfection is our motto. We have amazing sushi prepared in-house by an authentic sushi chef from that region. We have a traditional Indian chef, once again trained in India, who grinds his spices fresh in-house, resulting in mouth-watering masalas! Our menu also offers multiple signature dishes that are gluten-free - even our renowned Fish & Chips is gluten free!
