Very good food, some interesting spins on German food. We will make this a go to restaurant. Family atmosphere, good prices. You can tell guests eat here regularly. Always a good sign.

Authentic German cuisine.... the place may be small but the service and the food is as good as any restaurants that we've eaten in, all over Germany ... It's a beautiful drive along the Atlantic seacoast, and we've made several trips down that way just to stop and have a meal there. Well worth the trip...

very simple and basic. We had just come back from Germany, so it was fun to eat German food again. I enjoyed the sampler plate.

When we visit Lunenburg, we always stop here for dinner. It's a change from the local seafood prevalent in Lunenburg proper which we love but so look forward to this unique German cuisine. We had 2 wonder ethnic dinners and of course the Black Forest Cake. The local house wine is excellent. Total bill - 50 CAD and brought back... More

We were on our honeymoon and called on route (after being disappointed in another restaurant we had planned to eat at) to see if they were still open. They said they closed between 8 and 8:30, and when I said we're about 20 minutes away, they said no problem! So we went and had a sampler of German foods, and... More

just about 4k outside Lunenburg on way to Mahone Bay and is well worth the 4km drive out of the "Loon". The best eatery in the area offering real home cooked German fare. I ate there my last two nights, wish I found it my first night. Far superior to anything in the main town of Lunenburg. Schnitzels were amazing... More

It is not easy to get a table here unless you have reservations, but I was able to get a table on the deck on my way from Lunenburg Folk Harbour Festival. Whenever, I eat here, I usually have sauerbraten, which is delicious; however, I decided to try something else. I ordered maultaschen with mushrooms. What a great choice. Fabulous!... More

We were glad to see a different type of restaurant after having our fill of fish and seafood. This lovely quaint little cafe was like being in Germany in the Black Forest area. The spätzle was really good as was the pork snitnizel. Yummy sausages too. Loved it and would definitely go back on our next trip to that area!

We stop in at this place every time we travel to Nova Scotia. My mother is from Germany and it's just like having a family dinner at this place, even the amazing deserts are all made in house.
