Visiting family in the Crow's Nest, we went to Fernie for dinner at Yamogoya. It is one of the best Japanese restaurant food dining experiences. With the bar being located in the centre of this restaurant, the atmosphere is very social. The food is so fresh, it is easy to forget that you are in Fernie. Wait staff are very... More

#1 place to visit in Fernie. So many people even in weekdays. We had to wait for a while then ushered into sushi bar. Food was OK but a little less than we expected.

Attended Yamagoya with my son in law and his cousin, while skiing Fernie. By far one of the best shushing restaurants that I have been to. Very lively atmosphere with many excellent sushi choices

Our waitress remembered one of our parties dietary restrictions and tailored her service to fit their needs. The place was busy as all heck, but everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves so it was smiles all around. And the sushi was the best I've had in a decade!

Absolutely lush, food was great, service was impeccable. Eating solo but as the place was buzzing didn't feel like a lone eater. Can't wait to go back. Thank you TA reviewers as always rely on your fair judgement

Came here to eat dinner around 8 pm on a Thursday evening with my partner. Got seated within 5 minutes. Fast and friendly service. Food came out within 25-30 minutes which is reasonable. Busy atmosphere, lots of people around the sushi bar and seated, also very loud. Food was absolutely delicious! Sushi was fresh, and presentation was great!

Great food. Fast lineups as no reservations. A little loud in there as it is very small. Not very suitable for children.

The only place in Fernie that we found with any atmosphere. Definitely THE place to be. Very popular and all iMessage of the evening. Very efficient waiting and seating and the service was good. I have had better Sushi elsewhere and expect to pay a lot, but even in London - an expensive city, it is cheaper. Great for atmosphere.... More

Another fantastic experience. Consistent food and great service. The garden salad with tofu is a taste explosion. This is a must go to place. Be prepared to wait. It's always worth it. Thanks again for a fab meal. Great to be remembered too! Thank you all once again!

We arrived for dinner on a Monday evening and the place was packed and noisy, which we had expected after reading the reviews on Trip. Once seated, the 4 of us ordered a variety of rolls and tempura, all was good. Dragon rolls were massive. I've never seen rolls that large before. I've travelled and dined at Michelin restaurants in... More
