This place has been around for many years. It would probably requires a dust-up but then regulars do come in anyway. Classic French cuisine done extremely well at reasonable price. Beef, lamb and salmon are all extremely flavorful. Great French wine from private import. Waiter was really good and all dessert were made in-house. If you are looking for the... More

This place is like stepping back into the Eighties. It felt like it used to be a wine bar and has never been redecorated, though I haven't deducted any stars for that, as it gave it a certain character. I ate deviled kidneys and a rack of lamb. Kidneys were fantastic, the Lamb was blah and the veg was under... More

The food was not exceptional, the decor is dated, the ambiance and the service were just ok. We went to the restaurant for a special occasion but our impression is that it did not deliver anything worth going back..

My first comment is that the food is very good. But the service leaves much to be desired. Arrogant waiters who treat customers as if we should be grateful for their attention. Our waiter kept us waiting, ignored us when we asked to order, and was rude to my older relatives. Good food does not compensate for bad service.

We went in on St. Valentine's Day. Everything we tried on the Table D'Hôte was delicious. Service was excellent, friendly and attentive. The cuisine is traditional French here. We loved the Salmon 'feuilleté' and rabbit Dijonnais. Good value also. Superbe petit bistro Français dans le vieux Hull. Bonne valeur qualité-prix. Une perle rare

No matter how good the food is at this Restaurant, the service is lousy, by the owner/waiter, the owner is obnoxious, rude, kurt, impatient, impertinent. It's not worth the aggravation. The place needs an overhaul, it's dated, the carpets are old and not clean. The wait time from the time you arrive to the time you are served your food... More

Got to come back again, this time with my wife and our now older twins. We did make reservations this time, with my daughter attempting her French when we called. We had the same salmon in flaky pastry that we loved last time. My wife did agree that this was as good as we raved about. My son had the... More
