This is the real thing — a truly world-class restaurant. No need to go a la carte, the daily menu is a seafood delight. Stonkingly expensive though.

We had heard of Sooke Harbour House for years and when planning our honeymoon trip to Vancouver Island, we were sure to reserve a table many weeks ahead. What a disastrous evening! We were led to a table by the wall and when we pointed to others by the window, asking if we could sit at one of them, the... More

My Husband and I were in Sooke for 1 night and he took me to the Harbour House for my Birthday dinner. It was amazing from start to finish. The landscaping and view were breath taking. The staff was great and always making sure we were taken care of. The food was fantastic. From the beet soup to the crab... More

It is a very nice place nobody would argue against that. However the food we tasted was far from impressive. The halibut was dry and far from perfection one might expected from this place. Vegetarian entree frankly looked like a joke - four or five tiny gnocchi like pieces with pea based sauce. No real taste and no substance. Desert... More

First of all we came here for lunch on Sunday so didn't have the prix-fixe meal. We were a group of 7 and all came away happy. People loved the beet soup (I don't like beets so didn't try it), also enjoyed their main dishes. Another of our party loved the cheese plate and salads. The sorbets (for a child)... More

As we were staying at the Sooke Harbour House, it was a no-brainer to book in for dinner in the restaurant. The prix-fix menu provides the usual selection of 2 - 3 items per course to choose from, and a wine pairing menu is also available. Our food was wonderfully prepared and the service was perfect. Not too fast and... More

We went to the Sooke Harbour house for dinner last month to celebrate our anniversary, and must say it was an exceptional experience. Highly recommend the Chef's menu with wine. We had a corner table overlooking the ocean, spectacular vista. Each course was remarkable with local ingredients, and the hostess really charming. Highly recommend this place for a relaxed, high... The hotel is absolutely beautiful and well loved. The views are spectacular and most of the staff are friendly and always smiling. The downside for us was the restaurant. The food was too salty for our tastes and we noticed the menu hardly changed from one night to another. For the pricing, we were expecting the unexpected, the spectacular, the... More

The art gallery alone is worth the visit, even if you don't stay there! The grounds are full of hidden benches and driftwood artifacts. Loved it!

We encountered this place absoluely unexpectedly but it was a very nice surprise in the middle of nowhere. The atmosphere is really cozy and pleasant, food - delicious and natural, staff very helpful and friendly. Very beautiful view on the harbour, deers and other animals walking by. We really loved the place.
