This is mine and my husband's favourite local restaurant. The location is stunning, the ambiance is delightful, the staff are so friendly and welcoming, and the good. My gosh, THE FOOD. I've literally never put a mouthful of Vidas food in my mouth that hasn't made me hum with pleasure. It's a little spendy for the average night out, yes,... More

One of the best hidden gems in the area. Have been there a bunch of times with either a large group or just a couple people and have never had a bad experience. The food is absolutely amazing.

Heading north through 100 Mile House about dinner time. I said to my wife..."Let's stop at that little restaurant at the rest stop." She had no idea where it was so I pulled into Vida's. She was expecting some little gas station type restaurant. We walked in and she was immediately blown away by the whole atmosphere. We were greeted... More

Shared one appetizer among the three of us, which was delicious, as well as split two deserts among us, and they were both heavenly, but was disappointed that my entree arrived cold (half rack of ribs). Nice place and food quality is very good, though the prices are a bit on the high side. I liked the setting overlooking 108... More

Warm welcome, great service and delicious food. Had the Vidas salad as a starter - small, but nicely prepared with a very good dressing. My wife choose the seafood fettuchini and I got the beef tenderloin with cheese and pepper sauce. Beef was prepared perfectly. The fettuchini were just a little overcooked, I prefer them more al' dente. The seafood... More

Three of us shared a great meal at Vidas at the Historical village at 108 Mile House. The place was very busy which is always a good sign and fortunately we did have a reservation. We all had caesar salad, I went with a tasty prawn appetizer as my main. My companions had stuffed pork tenderloin and rack of back... More

Maybe cook had a bad night...had the rib dinner. The food was barley warm. The potatoes were awful, dried out and hard roasted. Ribs were warm on top but cold underneath.

As I said I wasn't expecting to find a place like this in the Cariboo. Not a huge menu, but what is on it is great. I had the Steak which was excellent, and my wife was very impressed with her seafood linguini. The owner was very friendly and made us welcome in her establishment, which is in a log... More

Vidas is (unfortunately) about a 1.5 hr drive from our home, so we have eaten there only twice in the last year. Both times we were delighted with the relaxed ambience, excellent service and delicious meals. It's easy to recommend Vidas! There is a nice view of the Lake from any seat in the restaurant.
