Our (North Island) Spine Trail Team decided to have a get together dinner and discussion. Fishermen's Lodge was decided upon. First time there, and will return. Friendly service and a good varied menu.

We often stop in to share a fat boy platter. Loaded with good Chinese food. Enough to feed 2 and some taken away for later as well. Noticed the almond chicken portion is getting smaller and smaller. Too bad, as that was my favorite part.

The "Fish" has been around for ever. The building has a lot of character and is set on beautiful property The inside looks original and very dark, but for some reason just walking in makes a person want to have a good time. There is a covered smoking area just outside the doors The food is really good and plentiful.... More
