We wanted a pub lunch, and the Royal Coachman was worth the drive. The food and service were excellent, and we really like the English-pub atmosphere.

Went to the Coachman for date night a little while ago. The drinks were good and served in a timely manner. I had the chicken fingers and a Caesar salad which were both good. Husband had the steak. He had a hard time ordering as he needs to eat gluten free but the waitress was pretty knowledgeable about what he... More

We went to the Coachman for a nice meal on a Wednesday evening. It was 5pm and fairly busy and after approx 15 minutes a nice young lady approached us for service. We ordered drinks and dinner. Our drinks arrived about 15 minutes later. As we waited for our food for about 45 minutes more we watched as other patrons... More

Visited this spot and felt like i was transported to an England pub! Very charming place with great atmosphere. Food was fantastic. Nice portions and reasonable prices. Good for a family or friends outing. Check it out at least once!

Walked in the pub side, sign said seat yourself. Walked by the bar and the bartender nodded. Seated ourselves, waited approx 15 min. It was not that busy. One of us got up and picked up some menus from the server station. The bartender saw us and spoke to one of the servers. She came to our table, not looking... More

We have been going for months to this Pub. The menu had now been totally reduced and prices went up. Not sure if we will be returning.

Quite a good reproduction of a dark, woody olde English pub. Big portions and good service. Live music on Sundays is always good. A Campbell River tradition. I recommend it for a good pub experience.

The atmosphere is warm and comfortable. The fish and chips were perfect, and were the best I've had since Hammond's closed so long ago. The staff was friendly, but a little slow offering me a second beer. However. It was really busy and not the servers fault at all. Probably a little understaffed at that moment. I really love this... We were wanting a pub meal - with a pint of Stella of course - and stopped in to the Royal Coachman. Hey, a Ploughman's Lunch. We ordered it, with a basket of fries, and it was great. Well presented, fresh and flavorful. The service was polite and friendly. Check out this comfortable, old-school, neighborhood pub.
