This coffeehouse is located in fun and eclectic Tin Town, a few minutes from downtown Courtenay. It is definitely worth the extra few minutes drive! Lots of comfy seating inside and picnic tables outside. Your drink is prepared lovingly by the baristas who are in their happy place. Enjoy your latte, matcha, or chai in a gorgeous mug (designed by... More

Love this. Great atmosphere and excellent coffee. Knowledgeable baristas who are excited to help you pick your brew. I go after yoga on Saturday

Nice spot in Tin Town to drop in for a custom made Almond Milk Chai and one of their apple treats. Not too busy at 3;30 on friday so able to get quick service and find a comfortable seat. Lots of reading and art pieces to look at plus the doors are left open to pick up any breezes.

Go to 2456 Rosewall Crescent, Red Tree's 2nd location. It is a real café, not the convenient kiosk on the riverside trail. Same great coffee with meals and goodies, and close to downtown as well. Locals call it 'Tin Town.' - past the tracks, right off 26th, if coming from town. The café is a veritable art gallery, just beautiful!... More

We often do the river walk on the weekend with our dogs, and we love to stop at Red Tree Specialty Coffee along the way. Their Americanos are the best in town. Their coffee is so rich and delicious. Love that it's locally roasted. Service is so friendly, and if you want to sit outside and enjoy it they have... More

We popped in around lunch time to find one table occupied which allowed us to view the current art on the walls. We decided to look at the menu which was quite short. The service was quick, food was hot and delicious. They did forget to put the ham in my husband's crepe, went to tell them about it. The... More

It is so nice to stop along the route when cycling or walking the river walk and pick up a delicious coffee along the way. Always served with a smile!

The old venue for Freakin' Coffee/Rewind has emerged as the new home of Red Tree Coffee. While they retain their little coffee hut by the Airport, they have added a creperie to their business. The venue has been completely transformed and now serves crepes to order at very reasonable prices. I have only visited twice, but the idea revolves around... More

Thank heavens for Red Tree. These young people know how to roast coffee. Ever since Starbucks, a good medium roast is hard to find, generally done too dark. But here it's done to perfection. Your coffee is freshly ground and poured over while you wait. They offer single origin varietals so you can get Rwanda, Yirgacheffe, and all those other... More

I stopped in this wee little spot on a rainy day and ordered an Italiano (a double espresso with about 1-2 oz water). The coffee was really good and for someone who doesn't take milk nor sugar the quality is important. It was smooth, not acidic and looked great served in one of their own ceramic cups. Its tucked away... More
