The fish is good and the chips are fantastic. Large portions, and you can also order a family meal for groups. If you want a leisurely sit down and be waited on meal, this may not be for you. But if you want good fish and chips and don't mind ordering at a counter, then I recommend it!

My mother in law who loves fish and chips, wanted to have lunch one day so we chose this place. I had heard about their fish and chips and I was not disappointed. The old fashioned fries with a big piece of cod. It was delicious - will go back. My mother in law, who doesn't eat much, almost kept... More

Had the haddock and chips. Fish portions aren't huge so could have done with more for the price. Tasted fantastic though - really fresh. Would recommend - just order extra fish.

Visited the place during downtime after 5pm. We expected busier spot, with slightly lower price tags. Ordered cod and chips with a pint of beer. Cod itself was fine, no thick greasy batter which is very common in other places. Chips were ok, nothing amazing though. Lots of lemon, and the nice surprise was tartar sauce which tasted just like... More

A small place, but good food - if you like fish and chips, they do it the good old way..Being connected to the best fish store in Nelson helps with them having fresh fish for the restaurant.

This local lunch spot offers fresh seafood competently prepared (mostly fish n' chips with lots of fish options). On many days a tasty chowder too. A downtown lunch time favourite. Not 'fine dining' but good at what it does. A midday reliable.

it is not often that i feel comfortable in a fish and chips place but this place is owned by a celiac! so the fries are safe and you can always get pan fried fish. good value too
