Been there a few times. Food is average. Good beer selection. Most of the staff are nice and attentive, but that asian guy working the bar seems to be consistently lazy and treats people like garbage. If you go there make sure its at a time that he isnèt working. Some waitresses seem to have their faces buried in their... More

We have been here three times on our holiday time in Van. The people, staff here are great and friendly. They have live music and the place has a great atmosphere

Attention moron wanna be food critics, you are not reviewing Marco-Pierre White's newest SoHo restaurant and your gripes about the smallest possible quibbles are not needed. The Gull has been around longer than 90% of the restaurants in North Vancouver. Do you know why? Consistency. It pleases the people that actually care about it and doesn't care about your food... Came after work with my hubby to grab a few drinks, some wings and to catch the jays game. Our first time and our last. Service was awful, no smiles, no customer service and attitude for days. Ordered our first drink, never asked for a second or given a food menu. Asked to switch one of the low defenition 1990... More

This place is has been around for a very very long time - and I appreciate the unpretentious pub atmosphere. No hipsters or tourists here, just the locals in their neighbourhood haunt. Nice list of beer, and very pleasant service - we had breakfast - not something I would write home about, I had eggs benedict - fine, a bit... More

I like going to this restaurant/pub on Fridays or Saturdays because it has good food, great music and a big variety of beers. Go early to get a good table

You will either love or hate this place. If you accept it for what it is - a neighborhood pub off the beaten tourist path filled with locals enjoying their pints and food while watching sports or listening to good local music groups - then you will have a good time. If not, you might encounter the negative attitude mentioned... More

Terribly rude bartender who tore me a new one when I asked him what beers they have. Yes pal I can read it was just the first time in your place and I guess the last! He was more interested in talking with the staff then serving me and the other customers. And pull up your pants man, I didn't... More
