The whole experience was memorable. Gondola ride to top has incredible views. Lots to do or just walking and viewing Vancouver below is wonderful. We had a table right at the window. Wine was great and not over priced. My husband and I both had the filet which came with carrots, gnocchi and pickled onions. It was perfection. Dessert so... More

Spent late afternoon and evening at a business reception at The Observatory after a long day in a windowless conference room. What a spectacular, positively refreshing experience to drive to North Vancouver and take the cable gondolas up to the lodge-like establishment. The dining rooms have wrap-around windows with amazing views of Vancouver Harbor, the city, Stanley Park and English... More

The gondola ride affords a spectacular view of greater Vancouver, particularly at night, with the shimmering lights. Once atop the mountain, the greenery of the magnificent trees and the fresh air is exhilarating and one is just steps from the wonderful restaurant. Surely, one should not miss this experience. when visiting Vancouver. A trip from central Vancouver is not more... More

The style in which the food was served was imaginative and artistic, if somewhat minimal in its portions. My lamb was overcooked and the pulled lamb nest underneath the chunks of very well-done meat were like tough string. My wife's kale which formed the basic vegetable content with her halibut was also very tough and could not be eaten. Other... More

The dinner was average at best. Had to send back the lamb as it was ordered medium rare and came well done. Second try was not much better, still over cooked. Would not recommend as the service and food was not worth the cost.

We decided to eat here as that way we got the trip to the mountain included in the price - ie almost $100 subsidy on our meal! And the meal was delightful, the serving staff friendly and organised, and the wine list excellent. My lamb was tender and delicious, my partner had the chicken wrapped in bacon which was also... Interesting journey to the Observatory for dinner. Being all dressed up for dinner, it was fun to be in the same incline with hikers. Once having arrived we were ushered to our table with a beautiful view of Vancouver, BC. Although there still was a little snow on the ground, the dining room had a fire going and the room... More

on par with The Burge in Dubai in terms of location, scenery and spectacular dining experience (but no where near as expensive). We had a great night.

My wife and I made the trek to the top of Grouse Mtn. via tram. It was a smooth ride to the top. We had dinner reservations for The Observatory. We enjoyed our dinner very much and you can't help but be in awe of the view of Vancouver. Our food was great as was our service. It made for... More

If you visit Vancouver, this is a must... that is the tram ride up, taking time on the observation deck and having a meal at this wonderful restaurant. Presentation, presentation!!! Simply amazing to add to the wonderful food experience. 4 people enjoyed a variety of the menu choices. No disappointment on anything. Great service! Too bad we live many provinces... More
