Hubby and I had lunch here on Easter Saturday. It was fairly busy but service was fast and the server was very pleasant and friendly. The fish and chips were really good. I am English and used to have my own fish and chip shop in England, so quite picky when it comes to fish and chips! These were some... More

Ordered the two piece halibut and fries. It was freshly cooked and delicious! Plenty of fries and a good scoop of coleslaw. Never disappointed with the food here. The

I usually do not like fish and chips because it's too greasy for me. But I'm always in search of a good one. Search is over! I had the First Mate's platter and chips but subbed the chips with chowder instead. You get two little scallops, 2 giant shrimp, giant oyster and a piece of fish. Normally, that would be... More

Atmosphere and decorations fitting for the Steveston Fishing Wharf area. Two of us ordered fish (cod) and sweet potato chips. The food was hot with good flavor, however, was overly breaded and too oily. The chips were hot and tasty. The other person ordered the calamari with onion rings. The calamari was dry and had little taste, the onion rings... More

Party of four all ordered halibut and French fries, and a jug of amber ale. We were all satisfied, especially with good service. None of us would describe the food as exceptional, however.

After being away from Richmond for 20 years now, we were a Daves consistent customer for many years prior, they had a unique flavour and excellent quality batter fish n chips....when passing thru Richmond on a vacation trip we decided to see our old Favourite restaurant....we were shocked at the poor quality, fish lacked any resemblance to Daves fish batter!... Still so busy after many years, particularly on weekends. Fish and chips are still decent but smaller portions of fish for sure.

My friend took me here and the fish & chip was fantastic. Although the traffic was slow, I really enjoyed the easy going environment, good service and good food. Another good place for fish & chips in Steveston.
