This is a bright clean restaurant. Prices vary from very high to moderate and the menus has a vast selection of dishes. I quite enjoyed the stir fried tofu and greens along with a bowl of rice. The sauce was mild and added a very nice subtle flavour to the dish. Service was good.

I walked into this restaurant and was asked what kind of tea I would like, so I told the waiter the name of the tea. I was then handed a menu and as I flipped I found that a pot of tea was between $6 to $7. I was thinking may be it was only for certain specialty tea. So... More

Golden Szechuan is in an uninspiring building in Richmond near the airport. Inside it's nice in the way that lots of Chinese restaurants are decorated throughout North America. But the food is something special. It has been hard to find good spicy Szechuan food, in Vancouver, but this made us really happy. They packed our chicken dish - just as... More

For anyone who likes spicy dishes, this is one of the very best places in Richmond. Not overwhelmingly hot, but hot. Just tell them you like it hot like genuine Sichuan style otherwise they tone it down for "gringos".

Food was good but service was downright horrible. Took forever to get our order, once we did the food came all at once in record time and then the service disappeared after that. Ordered a beer which never arrived although they charged me for it. Ordered water which never arrived. Tried to order something else which we could not because... More

Our family was traveling in BC and found this place when we were driving by. We went there yesterday at 9:00pm and were told that they could not serve us because the place was about to close. The hours on the door state that they close at 10:00pm. We decided to give it another try this evening and got there... More

I was there with a friend and we ordered three things. Ginger beef, signature spicy chicken and vegetable dish- green beans with bacon. We were welcomed with a $5 per tea, which was not a problem, as we expected the food to be great. Chicken and vegetabe dish came within 3 minutes-always a bad sign. My friend asked about the... I ate here back in the Fall of 2012. The food is authentic and the fish very fresh. But the cost is very high. In fact, I think the costs are out of line for the food. The same dish 水煮鱼 for the same portion and quality only costs $20 down the street. In Toronto, it costs $18.95. In Beijing,... More

Golden Szechuan has great ambience, lovely red lanterns, fish tank and warm decor. Ordered small chicken & sweetcorn soup between two and each had two servings. Followed up with Kung Po chicken, which had a hefty kick from the chillies; smokey duck, which was moist & tender; steamed vegetables & rice. The duck, which was served sliced, but on the... More
