We were recommended this pub by staff at Waterfoot Park. Spot on lovely food and great atmosphere. The pie was to die for as was the lamb curry. A lovely village pub....we will be back.

This was my second stay here and yet again, excellent. Comfortable room, very friendly staff and fabulous breakfast. We also ate in the restaurant which had lots of interesting menu choices which were very well priced. The meal was excellent. Definitely recommend!

With group of friends we gathered for a weekend of hill walking in the Lakes and took quite an appetite to the Queens Head for dinner. Lovely night! Great food, kind service and a local pub oozing charm and character. Fab evening! Thank you Hx

After reading the reviews on here we thought we'd give this pub a go. We were not disappointed. Friendly staff, great food...the pies were homecooked and the veg was fresh. Will definately return.

We popped in here for dinner over bank holiday weekend and were pleased to see we had walked into a pleasant Lake District pub. At the bar there was a fine selection of local ales and a local lager all reasonably priced bearing in mind...More
