We went to this gorgeous pub for Sunday lunch, but I came away dreaming of spending a long weekend there just for the food and atmosphere. We rang early on in the week, but they were already full except for a 2.30 slot, which we...More

Once again found the restaurant to be top notch. The staff are very welcoming. Had a platter of smoked fish for starters and hake in a caper sauce for the mains. Both dishes were delicious. With drinks the bill for two came to £60 ....More

Fanulous food, using local produce where possible. Clearly a very popular restaurant for locals as well as visitors, but they managed to fit me in at short notice without any fuss. Had the lamb on the first night which was cooked to perfection. Lovely atmosphere...More

Firstly the food at Felin Fach was excellent. We ate starters and mains and then shared a dessert as the portion sizes were quite generous. All of the food was excellent, with a welsh lamb dish standout. The drinks menu is extensive, we sampled wine,...More

Dear Ryan We don't impose any effective dress code on guests. Trousers probably best at this time of year, but no requirement for a coat or for a tie. We just hope you have a good supper with us. Please do call us if we... More

  • This restaurant is at The Felin Fach Griffin
The exterior of Brecon’s Felin Fach Griffin may be of ‘another country pub’ but step inside and it’s almost as if chintz and row upon row of horse brasses never happened. Boldly coloured walls and plush leather couches sit happily alongside scrubbed wooden tables and chairs and historic beams, but it’s the food that we’re here for…the very food that has critics raving and the awards piling up. Locally sourced ingredients, including a selection from the restaurant’s own kitchen garden, provide a centrepiece for glorious dishes full of imagination. Make the most of melt in the mouth mains and to die for desserts but remember to leave room for the spectacular selection of Welsh cheeses which really make the meal. The Felin Fach Griffin has won the Best Family Restaurant award for the United Kingdom in the 2008 Good Food Guide.
