We eat here on Saturday whilst staying at the hotel and would recommend the restaurant to anyone. The food was as good as if not better than some Michelin star restaurants we have eaten in. A total gem.

Excellent food. From the tasting menu to the bacon sandwich- delicious. There is not anything else to be said.

A lovely room with a well balanced menu providing interesting seasonal food .Much coming from the hotels own kitchen garden . Staff efficient, polite but by today's standards somewhat formal. Wine list limited and reflecting quite a large markup in some cases. Take care decorating dishes with Yew..... it is considered toxic in some cases and does little to enhance... More

We were a table of six and ate off the £75 per head menu. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented and the staff were extremely professional. I had the beef tartare, scallops ( which was actually one scallop sliced into three) venison and cheeseboard. The French waiter gave us a presentation of the cheeses available and this was really... We dine here once a year, when we attend the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society Winter Fair. This year's visit was by far the best meal here in recent times. Service was impeccable. We had outstanding amuses bouches. The menu was enticing and the wine list was impressive but reasonable. I chose the steak tartare and the pollock followed by the... More

We were full of anticipation for this restaurant which we visited as part of a birthday celebration. Upon our arrival our car was met by a member of staff and we were shown to the lounge where our party had already arrived. The building and the surroundings were really picturesque. There are many interesting works of art displayed within the... More

Really lovely afternoon tea here. Maitre D'H could not have been more helpful when we wanted to change from the rather formal dining room to sofas by the fireplace. Delicious sandwiches, scones & cakes. Special mention for the Welsh cakes & barra brith cake.

We visited for a traditional Sunday lunch and came away with mixed feelings. Llangoed Hall is a beautiful building set in equally beautiful surroundings. The log fire and comfy sofas were much appreciated as we studied the menu and wine list but a slight disappointment set in when we saw that the lunch was a very limited choice, three starters... We recently had afternoon tea at Llangoed Hall and what an amazing treat it was! It was an elderly friends birthday and we were 6 ladies in our party. We were welcomed on the door and taken to our table in the lounge by the roaring fire. We were asked what teas or coffees we wanted and then also served... More

Family stay for a few days and one left overwhelmed as this place certainly has that special feeling whilst you stay here. Stayed in room 3 , and it was fabulous, views over the surrounding fields side and rear which was beautifully decorated . Four poster, large room with a bathroom that could host a party itself. The decor of... More
