Seven of us had lunch. A special occasion and we were all looking forward to eating in the new conservatory which is splendid and would have a lovely atmosphere except for very intrusive piped music. We asked for it to be turned down but this...More

Eating solo is not one of my favourite pastimes but if you are in this situation and in this part of North Yorkshire this is the place to head. I was so seriously well looked by Christian, Lily, Rebecca and Mike. I need not have...More

Thank you for your fantastic review! Amy makes the desserts and have to completely agree with you that the rhubarb crumble is absolutely fantastic (as are all of her desserts may I add). We hope to see you again soon for some more crumble!

We had a great family lunch before my mother went off on holiday for a few weeks. Great food & great environment in the green oak conservatory.

The pub itself is very welcoming however, the food was a huge disappointment. Service was extremely poor and lacked finesse. The waitresss appeared to have no training and we very nearly ended up with a pudding and then a coffee in our lap. I choose...More

Our first visit to the Fairfax Arms and it did not disappoint. We were seated in the Orangery, the food and service were outstanding and it was very reasonably priced. Looking forward to going again.
