About
St Andrews Beach Brewery calls a 92-acre property on the Mornington Peninsula home. In the mid-2000’s the property was a working race horse training facility housing up to 80 thoroughbred horses and featured its own 1200m grassed training track. After a significant facelift , the centre of the old horse training facility is where you’ll find a truly unique brewery. The former boxes that were once home to some incredible racing pedigree have been converted into sitting areas. Visitors can now relax in a past Melbourne Cup winners box while enjoying freshly brewed characterful beers, something to eat and even better conversations.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great concept. Was there there on a Wednesday arvo/evening. They couldnt work the TV to get the cricket on. Called LAST food orders at 6.45pm! Called LAST drinks at 7.45pm! Admittedly not a busy time, but that early is pretty ridiculous, if we knew were...closing up shop by 8.15 would never have went there in the first place. I've never heard a pub/brewery call last food and drink orders that early!More

Terrible food don’t go here if hungry. Spent $61.45 on the tiniest burrito bowl that is surely entree sized for $32 !! As for chicken skewers tiny and coles sells bigger for $1.50. Skewers were $28 had hardly any meat and when asked if swap...chips for salad said No!!! Don’t eat here!!More

Good things first: The venue is quite nice, various types of seating are available in the beer garden. There are two destination chargers in the car park. Once you’ve chosen a table, you are supposed to order via QR code. The problem however is that...the brewery has poor mobile reception in some spots and no guest wifi. this made the ordering process quite frustrating. The food we had was absolutely ordinary. Whilst the oysters were good, they were not chilled and served with one 1cm thick wedge of lemon for a dozen. The Rodeo burger was by far the DRYEST piece of food I ever had. (And I had biscuits in the Simpson Desert!) There was some brisket? On the bottom that had the consistency of dried up wall paper glue and the beef patty was completely cooked through. There was not a single drop of juice in this thing. The accompanying chips were warm, not hot and came with the smallest serve of tomato sauce, it was barely enough for half of the chips. My wife had the calamari. Chewy and entirely unseasoned, placed on an equally bland red pepper dip. There were no salt shakers to be seen anywhere. Didn’t finish. The beers unfortunately didn’t convince us either. The Nitro Porter was a mix of a stale Stout and two day old cold brew coffee. The Ales tasted all the same. What a disappointment for $152 for two!More

This has always been a popular place for us. We would come in the summer once a month for lunch on a nice day. Always terrific, and the food to die for. Unfortunately yesterday there was very little to choose from and what we did...choose was terrible. Must be a new chef or his day off. We had brechetta and calamari both were bland. No taste at all. Never seen calamari so small. We then decided to get some chips to fuill up as we were still hungry. The 1/2 the chips were stone cold. Obviously mixed in wit some just cooked one. Goodness if you can't get chips right??? We will however give it another go as they could have been having a bad day. 1 last chance. What a shame this place used to be so busy and staff so bubbly. It was a Thursday and hardly any one there compared to usual.More

Called in for lunch with family. A great change since we last went past about 20 years ago. We found the food delicious and can recommend. I had a beer tasting plate and was most disappointed as I found that there was almost NO DIFFERENCE...in taste between the four beers provided. Can recommend the Salumi Plate, the tomato and ricotta pizza, and the pumpkin steak. As my wife said "absolutely delicious food"!More

Our friend was turning 60 and had her celebratory gathering at the brewery. It was a perfect location on a sunny afternoon. Our allocated area was perfect and the team very friendly and professional. Pizzas, platters & fries were just perfect for this event.

The food is basic pub style and wins no stars but the set up is good, (old stables) very professional staff, and interesting beer in a pleasant atmosphere.

Prices have risen significantly since our last visit here. It seems to have lost something in the overall experience. Likely, we will give it another try, but a much better pizza is available at Jetty Road Pizza in Rosebud and the atmosphere is far more...conducive to a fun restaurant experience. A number of wineries around Red Hill are also a better option.More

Had a good dinner and drinks with family here on Saturday night. Highly recommend booking a stable because despite being winter and rather cold, it was still busy on a Sat afternoon/evening. Meals were fresh and came out quick, table service was very good, ‘steak...sandwich’ special was solid without being special, kids enjoyed their food. Good selection of beers on tap, really enjoyed the Cali Pale Ale and sessional ale. Must do/visit if you are in the area.More

The food was disgusting a big sloppy tasteless mess and the staff were miserable! The atmosphere was so...bad we couldn’t wait to leave l! They can’t even have the excuse of not enough staff there was lots of them all wandering around aimlessly looking miserable! Won’t be going back again!More

The Brewery is very popular judging by the number of fellow diners. Our party sat in one of the 'stalls' so we had privacy to enjoy our meal and company. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, taking the time to talk through the various...beverages on offer and the qualities of each. The food was enjoyable and whilst not a vast menu, there was enough variety to please all palates. When served, the food was hot, as described on the menu and generous enough to satisfy. A very relaxed atmosphere and an enjoyable night.More
