Enjoyed a lunch here with friends... unfortunately not all items in the menu were available but what we had was lovely - particularly the fish curry. Recommend you make a booking for a good table :)

Visited this very popular restaurant for lunch... It certainly didn't disappoint, atmosphere matched the great food... Ideal to bring the children for lunch as it encompasses a small pool and beach. Certainly will return... I suggest you book as it is extremely popular.

Recently had lunch at he Brass Bell. The outside seating with the waves breakinf into the tidal pool, set the scen for one of the best fish and chips platters I have eaten. Crispy batter coating on the fish and hot crunchy chips. Cannot be beaten.

I'm a South African but foreign based since 2001 and am not a regular visitor to ZA. Friends, family and colleagues have long spoken in praise about the Brass Bell. I'm in the Cape to celebrate mine and my mother's (80) birthday. What a joyous and wonderful surprise! An outstanding location, impressive albeit quirky facility, a great menu, friendly service... Spotted the Brass Bell on our stroll through lovely Kalk Bay. Located between a public kids' pool and a larger one for everyone the place was rather livid. We enjoyed the sea view which you can get almost everywhere in the restaurant. They seem to be serving some nice drinks. Many of the locals around us had some mixers or... More

I got told to go here as a recommendation from a friend. I now trust his opinion and taste! I was initially sceptical when I got there as the venue had about four restaurants attached to it and felt a bit like a pub. How wrong I was! The food was stunning as were the views! You should call early... More

We had an amazing meal - hake & rice and calamari & chips - with great service and a stunning view of False Bay. Being a Tuesday, each course, including a glass of wine, was R65 which is exceptionally good value for the great helpings served. Sophia was our waitress and she went out of her way to serve us.

This dive is one of our favourite places to hang out. It's a local spot and since we're local, it's our standard hangout. I can honestly say that whomever we've taken there, love it.

Apparently the Brass Bell now has one of the largest seating capacities of any non hotel restaurant in South Africa. You wouldn't know it though as it is really multiple pieces all mixed together in a higgledy piggledy way. We sat in the Pavillion which was refurbished in the last year and has great views over the tidal pools and... More
