Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

An unexpected find. called in here for lunch and was amazed. great old Pub that has been given a lot of TLC. Good country menu at reasonable prices, good cold beer. Not far from Toowoomba, if you like visiting country pubs with great atmosphere, put...this one on your list.More

Dreadfully disappointing experience. Small place, very busy. Took 15 mins to get served for drinks. Seated outside in the cold "beer garden". Ordered the meal at 6.55. Told it would be 30mins. Went to check what was the hold up at 8.15 and told they...must have lost our order. Management unperturbed by this but very generously offered us a refund. How kind. Better dining elsewhere.More

A magnificent historic building with friendly staff. The food was absolutely incredible! Our steak sandwich and Caesar were faultless - huge, very reasonable and delicious.

Very enjoyable mid week lunch outing and the daily special was parmigiana varieties for $18. Good value and plentiful servings. Well preserved/maintained historical hotel with country charm and welcoming ambience. Brings back memories of country pub vibes from my younger days of country lifestyle.

My husband & I spent one night in Bull & Barley Inn's accommodation which is one of the best pub rooms we've ever stayed in. Spotlessly clean, comfortable bed & so quiet - had a great night sleep. They offer tea, coffee and toast with...spreads free. Sat on the verandah and had a few drinks watching the sun go down. We had dinner in their restaurant - very yummy food; but be warned it was a Tuesday and booked out inside - we thankfully booked. But outside area to eat is also lovely. The staff are friendly, attentive and totally professional. The outside area is as pristine as inside - it's obvious the publican is very proud of his establishment. We will definitely stay and eat at Bull & Barley Inn again.More

On weekend week before, ordered steak in Medium to Well, but it was cooked as Medium to Rare, checked again the order receipt to make sure the request was correct. And the quality of the meat is average, disappointed. Not recommended.

Had the privilege today to go to this amazing Inn Not only was the Inn in emcaculte condition, the staff and the locals made you feel at home The menu is a hard decision as there is so many dishes to choose from and mouthwatering...just reading the menu Ended up having the rib eye fillet and you couldn't get a juicer tender peice of steak, with veges and my partner he had the barrumdi and salad and chips topped with prawns and scallops, and he was so impressed on how big and juicy. A truly fantastic place to go to, was worth every cent driving 2 hrs to get there. Will be back, and the lovely Jess who works behind the counter at the dining area was so friendly and went out of her way 100 %for great customer service, don't get that often in today's society. Keep up the great workMore
