Popped into this lovely pub and had a great meal, local, hot and wholesome food at a quality and great price. Had local Ales also to try... Certainly worth a visit if you stopping in the local area.

Great food. Great service. Well worth a visit when in the area. Quick to be seated, one small issue....the car park needs to be bigger!

We came as a family and everyone thought that it was good, although the vegi option was a little tasteless but nicely executed. Good service and beers too.

I would think so, because of the good food and popularity and also I would presume the staying guests would use the restaurant so limiting table numbers. Good luck and hope you enjoy your meal.
Why do you not have a reservation system that works. My wife and I called in for a drink mid day to specifically reserve a particular table (No.3) for 7:30pm. The reason being that my wife has a back problem and needs an upholstered seat. However, when we arrived, our reserved table had been set up with others for a party of 14 people. Very disapointed to be offered a small table next to the till. We booked again for the following night and fortunately we got our requested table. We booked again for the third night in a row and yet again our reserved table had been given to another couple despite us arriving 15 minutes early. What made it worse was that the couple only had a main course and left just as we were finishing our first course. The wooden seat was very uncomfortable for my wife and this spoilt what was otherwise a nice meal. After spending over £180 on the three course meals during the three nights, we think you should have not accepted our reservation if you can not provide the table we had reserved. We think we should try somewhere else if this is your system of booking tables. It is obviously lacking. Last year we gave the restaurant a five star report on Trip Advisor. We could not honestly do that this time. Mr & Mrs H Overend.
