This place is small so plan on a wait, but it's worth it! Place runs like a well-oiled machine. Breakfast is phenomenal and the coffee is super good!

Omelette is cooked perfectly and ingredients are fresh. Bacon has great texture and flavor. Very nice biscuits and gravy. Waffles are delicious. Heck, even the toast is exceptional. Great service. Fair pricing.

Had read reviews, went for breakfast on a Monday morning. Was just by myself,so only had to wait maybe 15,20 minutes for a table. Its not a big place. But they are very organized and efficient with their service.Fast, friendly, and efficient.Food was point on.Also, they have home made preserves and jams.I can understand why it's a popular place.

We have been going to cottage cafe for years now. The food is GREAT and the staff are always wonderful! Only thing you have to keep in mind here is that there's always a wait...only reason for the 4 star not 5. BUT if you know going in there's a wait, this is the best breakfast place IMO in the... Waited 45 mins which implied popularity. However, the food was standard breakfast fare. Worst of all, after 10 mins of waiting for our food after ordering, the waiter brings everyone's food except mine (jalapeño burger) and tells me they're out of jalapeños! No 'sorry' or even at minimum an apologetic tone, just, "so do you still want the burger or... More

I discovered this place in October 2016 when seeking a breakfast place that was half way between the Spokane Airport and Coeur d'Alene. After a 15 min wait (that was well worth it - and coffee was provided while we waited), we were seated and served a wonderful breakfast. We returned in February 2017 to see if it was still... More

This is one of our favorite places to go for breakfast. It is small place & there is always a wait but they all know what they are waiting for. Good food at a good price! The food comes out fast & delicious. They are only open for breakfast & lunch. The cinnamon rolls are huge with a few different... More

Always busy. A small restaurant with some patio seating. But they will serve you coffee while you wait. The staff is welcoming and efficient. Cottage ambience is cozy. From omelets to waffles to good sandwiches the food is superb.

I absolutely love having breakfast here. It is a small quaint place with lots of character. Don't pass it up if you see people waiting, You will usually have to wait 10-25 minutes for a table (it's worth the wait) The food has always been fresh and well proportioned. The staff is amazing!! My kids and I had gone for... More
