We have eaten here many times over the years
This was our first post Covid meal. How good as it to find it was just as good as we fondly remember
The menu is as it was. Full of interesting dishes, all freshly prepared. So much variety, too much choice
Gluten Free is not an issue.
The temptation is to over order which we did so doggy bags will feed us well for a few days!

Ate lunch here. Ordered Bun special and Vietnamese pancake. All dishes were delicious and we will definitely be returning to try more on the menu, all dishes leaving the kitchen looked great. Top marks for cleanliness and observance of covid rules

I've been going there with hospital staff lunches for about 18 years. Never a complaint, the food was excellent, staff is friendly.....tops in my opinion

We have been going to the Thanh Binh restaurant for almost 25 years and have seen it under different owners and staff. Up to now, we have always enjoyed it- the food was excellent, great value and the staff were very helpful. It was our favourite go to place in Cabramatta.
Under the current owners we have been twice and while the food was good we noted that the total bill seemed to be a bit high. As we had consumed a few beers we just let it go. When we went back again in January 2025 the food was good but we made sure that we kept a tab on our total bill before we went to pay. Unfortunately, over $30 was unilaterally added on for no apparent reason except perhaps we are not of Vietnamese origin.
We queried the bill and it was brought back to what it should have been. Maybe they are trying to do the really authentic Vietnamese experience- where foreigners pay more than locals..... but it was disappointing to see this type of behaviour in our own country.
Saying that the food was good and that was the main thing.

More expensive than other Cabramatta restaurants. Good service. I'm sure I was recommended their banh xeo but they didn't have any. I got a wonton soup that was very lightly flavoured, light on the wontons and noodles, and had some very chewy pork, but it did have a fair bit of good seafood. I can't rate them highly by Cabramatta standards even though they're one of the most expensive.

If you ever come down this way u must try the combination egg noodles (dry) they also have a soup version but dry is best
I also like Stir-fried seafood rice noodles
(hu tieu xao do bien) very taste
The pho isn't as great! Resturant is very clean looks after customer very friendly

When ordering a dish you expect it to come out as it states in the menu. I ordered chicken, squid & prawn noodles. The plate it came out on has oily finger prints all over it rim. It was tasteless and very oily. I asked the waitress about it and she grabbed my fork and dug around in my plate until she found the prawn annoying she found the 1 prawn that was there. Went to pay and she didn’t even greet me or give me the total amount to be paid. Just rude and unnecessary.

We visited this restaurant and the food and service were fantastic.
The pancake was exceptional. All the meals that we saw come out to other tables looked yummy so we hope to go back soon.

This is the best Vietnamese food that i have tasted outside of Vietnam. Very authentic, wonderful Hanoi style spring rolls. Great prices, food came out very quickly and they were very accommodating of our younger children.

The Vietnamese pancakes are made on site with rice flour and turmeric. It's a yummy crispy shell filled with the freshest vegetables, and protein of your choice. You can make your rice paper rolls at the table with a great variety of salad greens, rice noodles and protein of your choice. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal.

I love this restaurant, but I never get to eat there as much as I want. The deep fried rice paper spring rolls are my favourite. The menu is vast and I wonder how they are able to cook every dish.
I'm hungry for their food now as I write this review.

Gets busy and you may have to wait for a table but the food is very good and reasonably priced. One of the better known and favored places to eat in Cabramatta

If hustle and bustle is your kind of thing ... then John st Cabramatta on a public holiday lunch fits this to a tee . I like the challenge hence there we were soaking up the buzz and trying pick out a place to eat ( Vietnamese of course).
Than Binh announced itself by virtue of a newspaper clipping on window espousing the great food it presents .... gullible for a challenge Than Binh gets the nod !
The greeting was warm and friendly and quickly moved to a table for 4 . The place inside was like Cabramatta outside ... busy busy ...which puts a place to the true test .
Orders were taken as I surveyed the venue .. clean , ample decor , very cosy seating arrangement meant it was like a communal seating and a few televisions in each corner showing all the good meals on offer meant the appetite was wetted .
The food arrived ( pretty close to advertised food on tv ) and the portions were very generous.
Self serve drinks is smart idea and free tea was provided to complement meals .
There was mixed meals ordered from crispy chicken , combination stir fry , beef soup and vegetarian option .
Food did not disappoint ... fresh , tasty and no complaints from family means that it came up trumps .
Than Binh is not pretentious .. it’s not a place for a romantic date or a long lunch and conversation deal ...
It does good food with great service at very affordable prices and just like Cabramatta it is busy busy but achieves its outcome .

We had lunch here in john st. Cabramatta august 2018.
Food is first class viet and service is better thsn ever.prices seemed more reasonable than they have been for a little while.
Menu is extensive.meals start about thirteen dollars.thanh binh is a ninety minute drive each way for us but we shall return.
