Had the most amazing lunch here with my brother & boyfriend. Firstly make sure you have the Rhubarb & Ginger gin! Most delicious gin I've tasted!! 😍!!! My brother had the 32oz rump which was so succulent and great value for money. My partner had the ribeye & I had the chicken kebabs. All the food was just delicious ,... More

On hearing great reviews we decided to see for ourselves, the service was slow and the staff was rude which ruined our afternoon. Will not be going again.

I had a recommendation from a friend and decided to give it a try. We turned up on a Sunday afternoon without booking and although very busy they managed to squeeze us in! The pub has a lovely atmosphere and the food was amazing and great value for your money! I will be going back!

We all went out as a family on a Sunday. Lovely hot food, reasonably priced. Did not rip you off for desserts as you so often see these days. Nice ambience, friendly staff and clean loos. All in all a really great experience.

Visited the Wheelbarrow Casle pub last night for the first time for dinner. I am pleased to say I have unearthed a gem of a place that offers great food at very reasonable prices. We had the choice of the Valentine 'special' menu or the normal menu so there was plenty of choice. We both went for the normal menu... More

Arrived here with no booking to a busy restaurant on a Sunday afternoon on the chance we may not get in, within 5 minutes we're taken to our table. We both opted for the carvery, good choice of meats, veg and other Sunday lunch trimmings. Food was great quality and constantly been topped up. Would also recommend the Sticky Toffee... More

A very busy place due to some very good value themed meals. A party of 13 meant it would be difficult to get served together but it was achieved. The quality and quantity were bang on. The service between meals was slow but that was probably due to our party size and the number of customers arriving at more or... More
