What a horrible experience. The woman serving, assuming it was Rosie, is a bigot and a racist. We stopped at the cafe for a rest and some food. Myself and my 3 kids were all wearing masks, we sanitized our hands and followed social distancing...rules. I was asked to check in and explained I had a Singapore mobile which doesn’t currently work on the Service NSW app. I provided my full name and my sisters Australian mobile number. She then set about abusing and harassing us about Covid. Said it was the foreigners bringing it in. I explained that we came from a Covid free country, are immunised and had been in Northern NSW, an orange zone. We had also completed 2 weeks quarantine and passed numerous Covid tests. We are also Australian! Not that I needed to explain all this but she was being extremely rude and harassing my kids and I. She then tried to order us to wait outside for our food in the cold and rain. How disgusting. Who treats a family this way?More

Just abit of the highway after Taree you find Johns River and Rosie's Caffee is just there. Lovely atmosphere big garden area or sit out the front. Food is great they make great salad sandwiches & the coffee is the best. If you decide to...go for a melt and you are not a big eater share it it will be enough for 2 😊More

didn't eat at this establishment, only asked if I could please use the bathroom as the public conveniences were padlocked. Was told it would cost me $2!!! Rude staff member.

Couldn’t eat there as wouldn’t let us in without registering (we didn’t have phones with us) and acted as though kids are full of disease. Keep going to a more welcoming town

We decided to stop off here on our way down south. Short drive from the highway. The signs do not do it justice, need updating. Cottage style cafe. Nice area outside to eat under cover with a cottage garden feel. Staff were friendly. Playground near...by for the kiddos to run around. We had tea and cake so can't speak to the cooked food.More

Used to look forward to stopping here!! After many years never again. Rude staff, poor quality food and service. Overpriced and they charge 50c for any payment by card including eftpos.

We have been going to Rosie’s Cafe for years but will not again. The two women who work there are two of the rudest waitresses we have ever encountered. What used to a pleasure that was looked forward to has declined into a nightmare. It’s...not hard to be nice, polite and maybe even a smile. It’s is also very expensive for not very good foodMore

I highly recommend checking out the google reviews because they are more accurate. Not sure if it was Rosie herself but the woman at the front counter was rude, scowling, angry and delivered bad customer service. There’s a sign before you arrive heading southbound saying...“Perfect Coffee” - not factual. Coffee was weak and underwhelming. Do yourself a favour and travel 5mins more to Harrington or Coopernook. Of course if you don’t mind an “I-hate-travelers” attitude when you’re on the road, then this is DEFINITELY the place for you 👌🏽More

Coffee is OK. Cakes are too sweet. Carbonara is SOOOO SALTY! (Am not exaggerating!) Service is terrible - the old lady is very grumpy.
