Stopped for morning tea. Staff were friendly, fast and efficient. Food was definitely above average with generous portions. All cakes/slices/muffins home made and served with great tasting coffee - the Holy Goat brand. Worth a visit.

Have always wanted to try this place since it was bypassed. Just about 100 metres off M1, north of Taree. Had the best bacon and egg roll plus coffee. Service was impeccable from about 3 young girls. Clean and tidy. Parking in front as well...More

Quickly stopped in, on our way to Gold Coast for some breakfast and coffee. One of the Eggs Benedict's I've ever had and really great coffee. Our waitress was very kind and lovely. Might have to stop here again on our way back.

Great Food and Coffee. Nice decor. Lovely booths. A good selection of cakes with a nice lunch menu. Lots of homemade goodies. Really worth the very short detour from the highway.

There is a real void of easily accessible cafes on this stretch of the Pacific Highway but Rosie's is a great find. Just off the highway, it is ideally located for a quick stop to refresh and revive. Coffee was good and milkshakes were winners....More

Divert from the highway worthwhile. Al fresco dining available. Local produce and craft available. Coffee in large cups, not mugs and cools quickly.

Description
Rosie's Cafe is in the heart of the tiny village of Johns River just north of Taree. Nestled in the arms of the Three Brothers the area has long been known for its natural beauty. Rosie’s is a vision of picture postcard rusticity and is the home of “rusticuisine”, locally grown, seasonally based, good, simple food prepared by Rosie's food evangelist Luke, who sources the majority of his ingredients from the Café’s own kitchen gardens which are chemical and pesticide free. The gardens are enriched by the in-situ worm towers which recycle the cafés green waste into organic fertilizer. The basic menu is always embellished with specials featuring seasonal ingredients, and there is always something decadent for dessert, if you have never tried Luke’s Double Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie then you are in for an indulgent treat. Rosie's also has a Gallery, currently on exhibit are the works of local artist Judy Bray. Rosie’s gift shop is located within the Gallery area where you will find some delightful and unique gifts, beautiful decorator pieces for the home and delightful bath, body & beauty products as well as pre-loved clothing, ceramics and hand made jewellery. Rosie's also has a great range of cookbooks and gourmet products. The courtyard offers covered outdoor dining or relax under a shady umbrella and enjoy a perfect cup of Holy Goat coffee with your meal or a slice of delicious house made cake. We even have our own resident ghost. Her name is Amy and she is often glimpsed through a window or heard whispering in the Gallery.
