Abu-Gosh village has excellent local cuisine. Price is very reasonable! Hummus is excellent and the tubula is the best! Highly recommend!

The restaurant is very big with numerous dining rooms, some that can be closed for private gatherings. Service good and polite. We at first were seated on the front balcony but moved indoors as it was too cold. We ordered humous, eggplant with techina and a fresh vegetable salad. For our main course I had a skewer of beef kebab... More

If you want to try real Israel food you should visit Abu Gosh restaurant. You will have super quick service, excellent food and salads and best humus you can find around. I like kebab and it was very good and portion was very big. And this restaurant is always packed, which indicate about its popularity.

It was a balmy Friday afternoon and I had been jonesing the entire morning for a garbanzo bean bump. Sensing my distress, a friend (and enabler) of mine suggested we visit Abu-Gosh, a noted hummusia creatively named after the town in which it resides. I had come across the Abu-Gosh name before while trolling seedy, chickpea devotion forums on the... More

If you're taking a car trip from Tel Aviv or the Sharon area to Jerusalem, it's worth stepping by in Abu Ghosh for late lunch on the way home. Take it from me - it's better value than the Jerusalem restaurants I visited (and certainly better than the 'touristy' ones in the Old City area). So what's so special about... More

There are many taverns in Abu Gosh and any Israeli will swear by one of them discrediting the rest. This is my favorite pick and my family and friends. The service is good (expect slight delays when they are packed full), the food is fresh and SOOOOOO amazing. Their salads are wonderful and so are the dishes.

Everytime I visit Abu Gosh, the food is outstanding, the service is very quick, everything is just perfect in respect to the food and the service. Unfortunately the place is a bit dirty and it's a bit disappointing but if you'd like really good and authentic arabic cuisine, this is one of the best choices in Israel.

We were a couple, and had one Hummus (in the picture) and one mixed grill, 130 NIS total. Both dishes were very good, service was fast, kind and efficient. No free coffee or sweets as in some other restaurants in the area.

I do not usually review however about a month ago was in Abu Ghosh with my gf. It was a Friday and they were busy. The waiter was too busy to attend and was impatient in taking our order, pushing the roasted meat which I told him no thank you but he kept insisting...again no thank you. The food came... More

The village is located on road number 1 from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, about 15 minutes from Jerusalem. There are many attraction, Benedictine monastery that is very unique, and great restaurants. My favorite is Abu El Abed, a small and authentic food in center of the village. The manager speaks English. There are other ones that are more commercial like... More
