I often get takeaways or lattes from the wheelhouse cafe. Can never fault their meals. The staff are amazing and have been working tirelessly throughout the lockdown which is really appreciated by all the locals. Looking forward to the doors opening again in the near...future.More

Delicious seafood chowder. Creamy and not overly salty or overpowered by any one taste. Seemed to have a hint of lobster bisque about it? One way or another, it was very good. Nice seating area outdoors at back. Plenty of parking. Very clean including toilets....Staff were efficient, good-humoured and helpful. Enjoyed a lovely ice-cream cone from ship/filling station across the road afterwards; another friendly encounter!More

Dropped in to the Wheelhouse Cafe at Burtonport before we began our journey back to Dublin. Absolutely fabulous, modern decor with sea theme (being right beside a fishing village). Pancakes and coffee and hot chocolate for the little one, really delicious. Had signs up for...Sunday roast dinners. Safety measures for Covid 19 were excellent. Will definitely return next time.More

Had lunch here while on holidays in Donegal, will defiinitely go back to it next time we're in the area. We both had the chowder which was one of the tastiest and most generous I've ever had. Lovely brown bread on the side, plenty of...that too. Service very friendly and efficient, all safety and cleaning measures are in order. High ceilings and well spaced tables give a light and airy feel.More

We had the most wonderful lunch here while on holidays in Donegal. The outside space is comfortable and enjoys a lovely view. The inside is spacious, modern and very cool. The food was delicious! We had an all day breakfast and an omelette. Both were...fresh, hearty and so tasty!! The service was friendly and efficient. We will definitely be back! Great value. Wonderful coffee! In terms of Covid-19 accommodations, we felt very safe and the place is spotless.More

A recent new addition to Burton Port, and a badly needed one, this cracking little spot delivers in spades. Great food in a lovely setting inside or out, this place is a must. A little slow on service if I'm honest, but some good direction...to staff could easily remedy. We'll be going back again.More
