We were staying at the local campsite and decided to visit the local pub, the Fountain. After a couple of drinks, ordered a takeaway pizza. It was fantastic, really light base, good toppings and well seasoned. Really helpful and pleasant staff, would definitely go again.

We'd booked a table for 6 adults and 3 children after going to sundown adventure land for the day on bank holiday monday. We had a few members of staff serve us and every one of them couldn't do enough for us, the ladies were...all really polite and friendly. The food was the best we've had in a while, very large meals and the desserts were delicious too. Kids meals were £5 and they had a large menu to choose from, portions were large too, my two under 5s could have shared a meal. Outside there was a singer too, who was very good, we were amazed by her voice when leaving so stood around a watched for a few minutes. We will definitely return, thank you!More

Called in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the choice available. Enjoyed our pizza and garlic bread, cooked well and tasted very lovely. Returned for Sunday lunch, choice of meats or nut roast with veg, mash, roast potatoes and yorkshire pudding. Again the lunch...was cooked extremely well and couldn't believe that it was priced at £7.95. I would thoroughly recommend a visit. Dining area or bar area to eat. Staff very polite and accommodating.More

Went for drinks and found it strange that we wasn't asked to leave our details, for track and trace of covid. Lady who served us was so friendly and welcoming but surely shouldn't you be doing this, when I have been informed everyone else seems...to be doing this. Lovely pub and would go againMore

Today my husband and I had Sunday lunch at The Fountain Hotel in Tuxford after a recommendation from a friend. It really was an absolute delight the surroundings are just lovely, beautifully clean, well presented and warm. The staff all friendly and smiley, just lovely...to walk into. Then just to top the lot the lunch was 5 star, my husband had beef and I had the gammon both were delicious. The presentation was 2nd to none, the gravy was so flavoursome and the yorkshire pudding was something to admire lol. Without hesitation I would recommend this to anyone and everyoneMore

We had steak and ale pie and lasagne with garlic bread and salad. Both home made and sufficient for a quick meal.

Tried the new menu and it’s such an improvement. Potatoes skins were beautiful and the burgers and fries were outstanding. Never had a bad meal here. Everything is homemade and fresh and always so tasty. It’s the best pub for food for miles around I...really don’t understand why it’s not busier. Everyone locally must just use takeaways.More
