My husband and I rang for a table on a Saturday night and got in no problem, service on arrival was spot on. Sat in the bar area for a drink and had to place our order for food, took to our table as soon...as starters were ready and everything was beautiful! Shared Camembert to start , monkfish and sea bass for mains and puddings all washed down with a lovely bottle of Merlot! That’s where the great service stopped! After our deserts were cleared and empty wine glasses we were left for 25 minutes with plenty of waiting staff walking past us and no one bothered to ask if we needed anything else? I managed to finally grab the attention of a young waiter and ordered our drinks before leaving deflated after what would have been an extra lovely evening right till the end!! What a shame!!More

Four of us enjoyed a lovely meal here on Tuesday night. Service was very good and food was amazing, well presented and very nice. We had a few different dishes and all said how great it was. The squid starter was lovely. For mains we...all had different dishes, one of the party had crab and said how nice that was. The Indonesian chicken was also very good. We had a creme brûlée for dessert and a mini cheesecake also lovely. Defiantly recommend and will visit again very soon.More

Tried this place again after a very bad expierience, are we glad we did?? Yes Definately! Food and service (James was very polite) was brill, we had starter of squid and crab cales and wasn"t disappointed with any of it to be honest, sat looking...out over the fields made the meal even better, i wanted to try crab, so even tho it was £29 decided i would go for it, not really my taste but ate quite abit all the same, hubby had monkfish and was very very happy with the presentation and taste! He decided on cheesecake for pudding and was beautiful even the almonds was great, had a desert wine as well.... So would we go back?? yes Deffo. And I will be recommending, but not in the middle of a busy evening in the heart of a pandemic, as think the easy atmos as wasnt very busy helped No marmalade on toast needed this time!!😁More

Booked for mums birthday, haven’t visited for a couple of years,,, found decor and appearance very tired and shabby.... good range of choice but very pricy.. food was ok but vegetables only brought out were peas..... with main dishes of £14.00 plus....?couldn’t order wine of...choice Unless by bottle so had to settle for house... staff very friendly and helpful, food acceptable. But only just...It was very overpriced for what it was.More

We went here to for a family celebration and being open a level of trepidation given recent events but I have to say the service was brilliant, very polite and knowledgeable. We all had different things but the quality of the food and presentation exceptional....My only personal gripe was the the squid I ordered whilst was excellent was a starter size and only came with a small amount of rice. Thoroughly enjoyable but could have eaten another and still as room for a desert. I also have to mention their incredible focus on safety, generous spaces, hand sanitizers, masks on staff etc. Thank youMore

Just left the muscle and crab from what was meant to be a birthday meal. Firstly let me start off by saying 90% of the staff are very young and lacking in any customer service skills. Mistakes were made at almost every point in the...whole eating experience and it seems none of the staff seemed to care. Even when things were pointed out to staff a blasé apology was given and nothing done. The floor was wet in the ladies toilets and my daughter fell over and hit her head on the tiled floor. A member of staff was informed and she just said sorry. Not is she ok, do you want me to get anything or even I’ll go and sort the wet floor. The muscles didn’t taste right so it was mentioned to the same female waitress again just a blasé sorry I’ll mention it to the chef. (We also saw other muscles being sent back) these muscles were also still on the bill at the end and at nearly £20 for something you can’t eat it is not good. Service was very very slow. Had to ask twice for condiments. A drink order sent wrong. (Also billed for) When taking plates between courses the waitress didn’t ask if everything had been ok. The foods not cheap at £30 for a main course you kind of expect a better level of service and attentiveness, which isn’t there. Don’t get me wrong some of the food is tasty but can’t get past poor customer service for me. As stated our complaints were made to staff at the time. So please if you would like to discuss further please get in touch.More

Looking for somewhere to meet friends to celebrate a birthday we picked the restaurant as it had been recommended and was situated half way between our addresses. It turned out to be a great choice. Sat down at 12.30 and met by very friendly staff...before a meal that served up four separate dishes, all loved by us. Main courses and desserts of high quality washed down by an excellent house white. Throughout the staff were excellent and it was a really enjoyable couple of hours. Many thanks - we will be back.More

We came here for my Husbands birthday and left very disappointed. All started well with the soup starters. But then it went rapidly down hill especially with my husbands prawn salad. This was presented with half of a very small baguette. A handful of lettuce...and 4 slices of tomato and a not so fresh bit of cucumber. We had to ask for the potatoes which should have accompanied the salad, 5 of the smallest potatoes came. For a price tag of £15 I would have been embarrassed to have served this. My chicken dish was very nice but the surprise for my Husbands birthday wasn't exactly how I planned it to be. We certainly will not be rushing back which is a shame because the restaurant was lovely and relaxed.More

We have been several times in the past so obviously like the restaurant. But wanted to post to confirm they are back open and just as great food as ever. The specials boards have necessarily been removed for the moment (my suggestion to have a...specials sheet people can photograph as they arrive) but still good menu and as I said earlier great food. I suppose I ought to mention that everything was well organised to achieve good distancing and we felt "safe" whilst maintaining a restauranty atmosphere. Great to have you back.More
